I guess they said his gun went off because they wouldn't get insurance money if they admitted it was a suicide.

    However, terribly sad.

    Myself.

I would bet my two weeks paycheck that it was a suicide.

Remember the Houston officer that allegedly "shot himself while cleaning a gun"?
That was a suicide. I know for a fact.

And I guarantee you this was a suicide.

The only way guns go off is if there is a trigger pull.

This man's gun didn't go off while cleaning it, period.

Is "pulling the trigger" a normal part of the routine of cleaning a gun? I would think so... trying all the moving parts...

even if I did pull the trigger cleaning my gun (try not too).. I would never point the barrell "towards" me while playing with the trigger.

    You can't guarantee ****.

I heard of another man that killed himself when cleaning a gun because he accidentaly dropped it. When it hit the floor it went off and shot him through the chest.

There are several ways that investigators can tell that it's not a suicide. Let the experts figure this out.

You're an idiot. If you had read everything else about this guy that I have you wouldn't be saying that. Everyone that knew him said that he was full of life and everything was going great even as recently as when they saw him at the Super Bowl. There are accidental shootings, it happens.

Of course the media is going to paint a beautiful picture. Or did you know the guy? Exactly.

You notice how they aren't saying where the bullet entered his head at?
Guys, don't be naive. Or do some of you actually think guns go off at random times?
Keep on with the density, asshats.[IMG]

pulling the trigger of a gun you put bullets in and pointed at a vital area of your body is a suicide.

    very rarely.

most are negligent shootings that involve 2 or more people.

why call it a suicide on a hunch? there is just no reason to.

mental illness is a real problem.
