Stevie Franchise is loved by few, hated by many; vice versa. ;)

But personally, I like the guy and I'm sure a lot of yall do too.

Since he hasn't played in so long, and now the news of season ending surgery, some beleive "It's Time" for Steve's career to end.

Question is: Will he ever play for the Rockets again?

There was an article (rumor) that he says that he is hoping for a comeback next season.

We shall see. I really hope so, but since so much of his game was athleticism (from what I understand... not first hand knowledge) it will be hard for a comeback I would imagine.

    2 sides to this.

The business side of me says trade or release him.

The fan side of me says keep him, he can still recover and has heart. He gave Houston some good times and shouldn't be dumped to the side.

I heard people are not really sure if SF can make a comeback after the surgery. I wish Steve Francis all the best.

He'll definitely take his player option. Hopefully, he'll give us something next year. I still think he can be the player he showed he still was in the PHX game.

He was on Fox last night saying not only would he exercise his option next year and come back and play for the Rockets, but the Rockets have talked with him and want him to return. So if he is telling the truth, kind of makes this poll useless.

Given how long Sura was on the payroll while hurt I dont see why there would be a reason for him not to be given the chance to return. Say what you will about Steve, that guy gave this franchise all he had for about five years when we had absolutely nothing of note on this team. I see him swinging between the 1 and 2 for about 20 mins a game next season.

If we gave Sura chance after chance to rehab and come back and then sat on his expiring contract and never traded it, why wouldn't we do the same for Francis. This team has a history of doing that. What about Charlie Ward?

Why people are mad at SF taking his option? It's his right to do so. Actually, his salary is only equal to some 11th/12th man. If he wont come back, most of his salary will be on insurance. He only costs the Rockets one roster spot and many teams only carry 13-14 players. So, no big deal for Francis on the team.

He's making what, 2.5mm right? that's not 11th/12th man to me. That's like...where bonzi's at. Hell, they make the same amount and bonzi is what, 7th off the bench with head? If steve was playing for a vet min, then it's whatever, but he's making a little more and was expected to play a bigger role at the 1 over at LEAST brooks.

aside from the technical salary talk, i'd want him back. that game against phoenix was an important win for us. we need every single one of them. if we're above 1 game to give us an advantage in playoff seeding, then his signing woulda made it worth while.

    NOVAK!!!

I really do hope he comes back in full strength next season, I had high hoes for him this year, and just the thought of him being on the rotation was the greatest feeling.

While not a hardcore fan of Stevie I've always appreciated his hard play and heart on the court.

People may have issues with his attitude, overdribbling and whatever else, but you can't say on the court the man didn't give his 110% everytime.

I hope he comes back and is healthy next season. A healthy motivated Francis would still be dangerous and great off the bench.

not really a sf3 fan and don't like his game much.

but i wish him the best. if he can come back on our team next year and actually contribute, i'm sure it will be a big story in the league.

I hope not. It would be a horrible sign if he did.

I'd love to see Stevie take his absolute best shot.

... and I hope he gets back in shape. He'd be a valuable asset to the Rockets.
