He's really proud of the team and happy the way they moved the ball around in the 2nd half. He's also pleased about the 1st half, the only thing was the shot didn't fall. I'm glad he mentions that Battier needs to shoot more and that they're going to look into making more plays for him :)

Battier can be our third scorer easily, i'm glad he's got his stroke back.

When Battier played well, we usually got a win.

The offense looked good only because TMAC had only 11 FGA.

It was an ugly game, the Cavs didn't play that hard and were missing their top two PFs (Varejao and Gooden).

I'll take the win but there isn't much to say about the game except:

    NEXT!

No, Mike James is not a PG and will kill the flow of the game.

Keep AB, he can still run the team, Mike James can't.
He is a 2 and we got T-Mac, Bonzi, Head before MJ.

i'm not disagreeing, but missing players should not be an excuse for any team. just look at the game right next to the rockets game last night. the bulls w/o their top 3 scorers out-scored a high powered gsw at oakland. and plus we're essentially missing 80% of mcgrady and head wasn't playing either.

If Tmac were healty, this game would have been a shooting contest Tmac vs Lbj

Rockets 1 point behind with 40 sec left, Tmac hold the ball ...

    agreed with you there ...

too many iso play for Tmac, I'd rather see the ball move around and everybody get a fair number of shots

Who cares about fair? At this point in the season, we care about wins, ugly or not.

This team does not have the luxury to not win right now.

T-Mac's last healthy game 5 players took 10+ shots. Seems like a fair share to me.

What's the point of making the playoffs if they just flame out in the first round?

If the Rockets want to make some noise they'd better practice that motion offense as much as they can. Whenever they go away from it they get burned.

I'm not saying that they aren't speading the ball. I'm just saying that, worrying about being "fair" about it shouldn't be a concern. Worrying if it's efficient/effective is, not fair.

Right, it had nothing to do with the fact that we were getting every single offensive rebound and dominating Cleveland's [lack of a] frontline.

Nope, none of that. The fact that McGrady only took 11 FGAs is why we scored a whopping 92 points at a blistering 43.5% clip...

I think under his current condition(flu n stuff) McGrady would have been crazy to take any more shots than he did. Ya think he realized he wasnt at peak performance and did not look for his shot intentionally?? We won because everyone played hard. Scola attacked when it was his chance. Bonzi was aggressive and didnt shoot as many dumb J's. Rafer penetrated well, and hit some timely 3 point shots. Battier had a solid shooting night and made a couple of nice midrange jumpshots.

Rockets were just a couple FTs and slightly better 3 point shooting night from the century mark.

We shot 29% from 3 point land. Not horrible, but its tough to win games when a staple of your offense(the out part of the inside-out) isnt clicking. Sure the Rockets made 5 in a row in the 3rd quarter, but take that out and it was an even MORE dismal performance from downtown.

I don't disagree with any of that.

I was just saying it was stupid to insinuate that the team was better off because of the way McGrady played. He understood his limitations, and played within them, but if he was healthy, we would have been even better off.

I am not sure if this has been posted, but Les Alexander was interviewd on Sports Radio 610 today to talk about the state of the team. The following is the link, and it's on the left side of the page.

I was more or less expanding on your previous post which I agreed with. Just ridiculous how some people apparently "see" things during the game that really isnt there.
