    For a defending championship team, I'm not thrilled with my keeper prospects. Is the ancient Chipper Jones really one of my 4 best players?

    Sam -- as a back-to-back winner, you have no right to complain. :p You get a chance to make history as no one has ever won three years in a row in any of our leagues. :eek:

    I feel pretty good about my situation going into this year. Hopefully all the work I put into trading for good keepers/draft picks last season pans out.

    Sure. You can make any kind of trade for players or picks right up until the keeper declaration date. And since I hadn't specified any hard dates yet, let's do it right now:

    Feb. 24th -- all teams must have their 4 keepers declared by this day.
    Feb. 25th -- teams begin choosing draft order (last year's worst team, hotballa, gets the first choice, etc.., etc.., returning champ Sam gets whatever spot is left over at the very end)
    Mar. 02nd -- draft begins

    Order for pick selection
    1. hotballa
    2. countingcrow
    3. LongHornFan's XTreme Chalupa
    4. The Rook
    5. PhiSlammaJamma
    6. SmegCity Smarmy Gits
    7. Expos
    8. DarkHorses
    9. Jent's Llamas
    10. The Aliens

    Like before, draft will be slow live done on both the BBS and the league website. Timer will be set at 8 hours per pick initially. It may be reduced for the final few rounds depending on how it goes.

    Make sure to let me know of any last minute deals that get done involving picks.

    If anyone has any interest in Granderson, let me know.

    I'm actively looking to move him as I feel that he should be considered a "keeper", just not for me. If that makes sense.

    My bad. I was the one who picked up Liriano. I just assumed the free agents were available since the site allowed me to add a player. I guess I just showed my hand as far as someone I was targeting.

    I sent you an email through the board earlier tonight. Did you get it?

    If not, I'll re-send it to the email address you posted in this thread.

    The league is a Yahoo Plus H2H points league that is set up very similar to this league. I haven't come up with a absoulte draft date/time but it will be in late March closer to when the season starts and it will take place on either a Saturday or Sunday morning; more likely a Sunday morning.

    There will be twelve teams and eleven of the spots are already taken. If you decide to join, you will need to contribute $30.00 ($10.00 to help cover the costs of the league and $20.00 to the payout pot which will be paid out to the first, second, and third place finishers in some sort of a breakdown that will be determined before the draft starts).

    It is a very competitive league.

    I guess I've typed out here everything that was included in the email I sent you so either way you get the gist of everything.

    Sounds tempting, but I'm going to have to pass. I have some events coming up this spring/summer (road trip through USA, returning to Korea, etc..) that won't allow me to put in the time and effort I feel is required for a big money league. Thanks for the offer, though! Maybe another year.
