In order to promote the City of Houston to the rest of the world, the municipal government of Houston plans to launch series of big poster ads of celebrities of Houston in USA Today, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, National Geographic.

The celebrities included former USA president George Bush, Beyonce Knowles and of course, Houston Rockets' franchise player, Yao Ming. :D

And in the poster and the dedicated website, http://www.visithoustontexas.com, put up for the campaign, Yao Ming talks about how he now treats Houston as his home, and dreams about the day he and his Rockets team mates parading the city of Houston, showcasing the NBA Championship.

I'm glad he feels comfortable here.

And on a side note, Yao isn't going anywhere.

"I also recommend they go to see NASA."

Yeah combine this with his recommendation to eat at Yao's, and this ad has NO credibility whatsoever. LOL.

And just for those of you who didn't get it the first time, Yao's restaurant is bad bad BAD. It makes PF Changs look authentic. Just drive three blocks down to Chinatown and go to the first place with dishes below 6 bucks a pop.

Yao restaurant is going to open at its 2nd location in a new shopping mall that's within 5 minutes walk from Toyota Center before the 08/09 season.
