That basically means we have guys who don't put in the effort on defense, and guys who don't play smart. If we can't play man-to-man defense worth a lick, why not employ a zone defense? Can it really get worse? I guess that would require Rudy to do some coaching. Nevermind then.
Throughout every single offensive problem this team has had, their defensive problems have never changed. The Rockets continue to leave players wide open after picks, and they continue to fail to rotate. It's just the same old problem. Rudy can not coach defense. The D always improves when Eddie is in the game. It's one of the reasons I'd like to see him starting. When he starts, the Rockets set a defensive tone.

Maybe I'm missing something, but does *anybody* think the Rockets play good defense? Eddie blocks a shot now and then... but unless he turns mid-90's-Hakeem-like all of the sudden... that just ain't enough.
I don't know about Francis either... Last year, he was pretty bad. Got lit up more often than not. But he still is better than Mooch.

Huh? I've always thought our defense sucked...even when we actually had a winning record early in the season. I just tend to talk about the offense more because the coaches can control that more.
you have got to be joking, right when the supposed leader in Francis is as bad as he is, it is not a good start, check the number opposition PG always have season highs against Steve, ask Brandon, Exel, and even Robert Pack!!!!
