I think phx winning is better for us...we could possibly keep climbing the southwest division standings..who knows...but if we did end up being 8th seed i rather play no then phx so idk lol
good game in dallas hopefully they loose...anyone who wants to watch http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia-liv...k43I*qpWrcO57cbTGsN8xn1btQK5cwVV18*TnP?e=.asx
We will get a top 5 seed in the playoffs no doubt about it. The thing is we have to play every game like our lifes is on the line and we will make it happen.
doesn't matter. both teams don't scare me right now. but man, utah and denver going into OT. we need denver to lose b/c well, they're closest to us
with nearly a half a season to go, and only 5 games seperating the top seed from the 10th seed - i think worrying about position right now is a bit premature. Right now we just have to worry about winning - doesn't matter what other teams do right now - it's way to early and there's going to be so much shifting that one game here or there is meaningless. Teams will pop in and out of the playoff picture numerous times between now and may.
I'm confused. is that thread this thread? If so, I plan on talking about the Rockets and their chances of making the playoffs. This is the part where I will tell you that I believe the Rockets can make some noise down the stretch. In conclusion, this is the part of my post where I predict Houston will make the playoffs... Officially this is the part where the post is over now
Yesssss!!! Utah won. Man, Korver 27 points!!! He is big for them. Phoenix lost, that s a okay news. We are now 1 GB behind the 8th place. If we win tonight, we will only be 0.5 GB behind the 8th place. Playoffs we are coming!!!
Thats one brutal MArch sched! 4 games in 5 nights against Boston, NO, PHX and GS?! wtf..thats so unfair. Didnt houston play PHX and GS in one back-to-back last time too?! Why doesnt the Jazz or Portland have the same brutal sched =(
i wouldn't complain. we will know how for real these rockets are. i think we have a "great" chance of getting the first 3 games if we keep improving at this rate. boston is VERY vulnerable b/c they play the same style as us due to thibideau. they emphasize primarily defense and play half-court. new orleans is a very good team but adelman has found a way to counter most teams that we have struggled with in the past. i think again, we match up VERY well w/ phoenix now. yao doesn't have to guard amare. the suns have NOBODY to guard tmac now that marion is gone. although the suns will still run, they won't run "every" time they have an opportunity which is bigger than you think. the warriors game worries me b/c it's a b2b. we can play with them, but i don't know. we'll see.
Yes, we do have a bad stretch there but look at these facts @ home... - 40% of the remaining home games for the Rockets are against teams with a record of 0.500 or better - 59% of the remaining home games for the Jazz are against teams with a record of 0.500 or better - 60% of the remaining home games for the Blazers are against teams with a record of 0.500 or better on the road... - 71% of the remaining road games for the Rockets are against teams with a record of 0.500 or better - 47% of the remaining road games for the Jazz are against teams with a record of 0.500 or better - 47% of the remaining road games for the Blazers are against teams with a record of 0.500 or better as a whole (road+home) - 53% of the remaining home + road games for the Rockets are against teams with a record of 0.500 or better - 53% of the remaining home + road games for the Jazz are against teams with a record of 0.500 or better - 53% of the remaining home + road games for the Blazers are against teams with a record of 0.500 or better # of back-to-back games (BTB) - 7 BTB games remaining for Houston - 7 BTB games remaining for Utah -10 BTB games remaining for Portland Make what you want of this information but our schedule is not that far off from other teams. I am not sure why you are trying to surpass the Jazz when we should be looking at Denver, Portland, LA Lakers and San Antonio based on the current records. If you like these stats, more info like this can be found in this thread that contains all these statistics in a spreadsheet that will be updated daily.
Hollinger just predicted that it requires 48 wins this year to make the playoffs. I think we have what it takes, going 20-14 ain't that hard.
