Interestingly, for last nights 11 games, the road team covered in 8 of them. One of them was the Spurs (-7). This goes to show that you never know what team is going to show up. Lakers were a road favorite (-3.5) and lost. Bookies know that people will bet the Lakers heavy with Gasol now on board. But this was a back-to-back which are typically traps for teams and bettors. Moral of story, I would not bet the Rockets tonight, you just never know what team they will throw out there, especially with the first game back from a road trip. Plus as we all know Rockets are only 12-9 at home straight up. They are 9-11-1 ATS. The better bet MAY be the Warriors who are catching the Bulls on a back-to-back. That spread is -9.5 Warriors like to run and could catch a tired Bulls team who may be w/o Hinrich and Gordon again tonight.
yea I don't know. I may not bet. I have a funny feeling about it. I did pretty good last night. So I may just take my winnings.
So the line for tonight's game has changed. Rockets are (-4.5) and Cleveland is (+4.5) with the over and under at 184. Interesting.
Even thought the line has moved towards Cleveland, I agree that the inordinate amount of fans betting on the Rockets probably set the spread to high to begin with. I would have thought -3 myself. It's still a better bet to take Cleveland. Houston rarely blows out anyone.
Actually this is also a great rule to follow for betting on the NFL. In the last 3 years, the home underdog covered 80% of the time.
Take Cleveland with the points, now that TMac is out. That way, the Rockets and you can both win. But more likely, you will win.
To me, it's more fun to bet on your home team. If you lose, you would have been disappointed any way.
Wellp, I just got 3 tickets. 1 for riding on an HOV lane by myself (sister took the bus home 2 minutes before I got there), 2-My wallet/License was stolen while I was taking an exam at UH, and 3-No insurace...The car is insured so I will show bring the paper to court. My question is, anyone know any really good gambling sites? http://www.madduxsports.com/nba-odds.php has a lot of stuff going on there. Can someone take me to sports gambling 101? I'm willing to bet $200.00.
Factor Tmac's situation game time decision into equation. 90% won't play. But Rox seem ready/ determined to win after couple days rest. Still Cavs is favored given their recent hot streak. Cavs too much fire power if Tmac is sitting out.
