As you might have noticed the rookie team only has 9 players, while the second year team has 10 payers. There is no logical reason for this,; so le't petition the NBA to put Eddie on the team. http://www.nba.com/email_us/letters_to_nba.html SAMPLE LETTER: Dear NBA, It is of course very hard to pick the rookies for the Rookies All Star Game since many have limited playing time in the months leading up to the game. Fortunately you have the chance to correct an oversight this year and put Eddie Griffin in to complete the squad at ten players. This will save the League some embarassment and it would be natural to leave a spot open in future years for a late blooming rookie to make the game more complete each year. Eddie Griffin's stats are looking better every day and by the date of the All Star Weekend it may look like a travesty.
Great idea as well Hope everyone does their part and sends a few hundred letters! clutch bbs fans in force !! we can start lobbying for decisions in the senate soon too! great idea though, i sent 4 letters already
The Soph team has 10 because Morris Peterson is injured, they just decided to name his replacement along with him. Logical enough for ya?
Two years ago the WNBA was holding its All-Star game in Phoenix. Brandy Reed, a Phoenix player, was one of several players "on the bubble" who was not selected to play in the game. The Phoenix fans raised a big stink, and the league, to avoid an embarrassment at the game, named her as a special player to the West team. The point is, there is a precedent for the league to bend rules in special situations. If the Rockets fans and all EG's homeboys in Philly make enough noise, who knows ..... The rest of the story: Once she got in the game, Brandy Reed played so bad it was embarrassing.
I'm sure one of those nine members of the rookie team will be hurt sometime between now and mid February. Mu hu huh ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
