    I too was born in a Year of the Rat...

    As was my mother... 2 decades(or so) previous.

    And my son 2 decades(or so) after me, I believe.

    It is. Today (Wednesday) is "new years eve". Though for those posting half way around the world, it probably was already Wednesday even though it was Tuesday here, therefore, the time difference screws everything up.
