not being flippant, but how many youths do you know have problems with authority? I dont know enough about the exact makeup of the civil rights movement, but I don't think the civil rights movement was started by college kids calling for change.
I think he way underperformed in MO. But Utah and ND have already been called in his favor. They are small, but they are in the west and they've gone to Obama's favor. So far CT. is too close to call. That would be a huge win for Obama if he could pull that off. Obama staying with in double digits in CA that would be a victory.
UPDATED in the Democratic primary, so far, per cnn: Obama wins Alabama Delaware Georgia Illinois North Dakota Connecticut Kansas Obama leads Idaho (75-25 w/22% reporting) Minnesota (65-35 w/25% reporting) Clinton wins Arkansas Massechusetts New Jersey New York Oklahoma Tennessee Clinton leads Missouri (55-41 w/ 50% reporting) Too early Arizona California Colorado New Mexico Utah
Zogby has Obama up by 6%. http://www.reuters.com/article/topN...?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews&rpc=22&sp=true
He has nobody to blame but himself. How could he call for Huckbee to quit the race? Pretty arrogant, isn't it?
Actually in part it was. The workers who traveled all over the South working, and were even killed by the racists there were college kids crying out for change. Berkley was a huge hotbed for a number of issues including Civil Rights. In addition It isn't like the college kids now are the start of the change. That would be Obama that started it, and the college kids that played such a huge roll.
True but the pollsters have been wrong all over, and that doesn't take into effect the undecideds. There is a huge hispanic population(long time friends of the Clintons) and a lot of traditional establishment Democratic political machines in CA. CA has long been Clinton country, and the Clinton's own internal poling felt that she would win the state.
As opposed to you who bothered to make a snide comment about a fairly innocous observation from someone who actually was at the MN caucus?
That is really fuuny. It seems to me that Kerry and Kennedy means little to the ppl of their own state. The endorsement is a joke!
I don't know enough about the exact makeup of the civil rights movement to comment much further, but i do know that any young faces I saw in those marches were mostly blacks who had experienced the racism all throughout their lives. Anyway I'd rather stay away from this aspect of the discussion, as I have great respect for the civil rights movement and all those involved. FB, you can't ignore the fact that the older Dems are going out in force for Hillary. ABC had a poll that said something like 22% of voters were older than 45 (not sure) while just 12% of voters were 29 and under. The ironic thing was they went on facebook to ask why noone young was voting. simple, they're on facebook. The reporter then asked if we needed to give away IPods to get themn to vote
Also, as someone said before, most Clinton voters are poor and uneducated. They probably don't have a phone or the Internet so they can't be part of the survey
You gotta hand it to Romney. He's toast but he still being upbeat and predicting wins out west in CO and CA. Of course they just declared North Dakota for him.
