BTW these Portland announcers are such homers. The comments they are making are unbelievable. Every call in their opinion should go their way.
Even when he plays a good game, Jarrett Jack still basically costs the Blazers the game with 3 totally r****ded TOs with the outcome on the line. 2 in the last 90 seconds of regulation and the one oh-so-stupid behind the back dribble with 15 seconds left in OT. That's why he will never be anything more than a backup or 3rd string PG. Outlaw also showed very poor judgment a few times late. That was one of the worst overtimes I've ever seen.
jarret jack totally messed up, first lost the ball when could've held for last shot then gave AI too much space
Melo is throwing bricks all nite long. AI wins the game for them. lucky bastards. thankyou to the last missed FTs by blazers.
AI bashers should just soaks their heads in water until they get some sense. AI the heart and soul of that team and Melo won't be until he finally grows up and matures. At some point a boy must turn into a man and that hasn't happened to Melo yet. But he's still so young and just needs more time.
Wasn't it just a year or two ago when he was being hyped up as the most clutch player in the league because of all his game winners?
Melo is definitely talented enough to make buzzer beaters when given the shot at the end of the game. OTOH, I'd argue that he blows games for his team in close situations such as tonight with his childish behavior and atrocious shot selection much more often than he wins games with last second shots.
his tech was warranted. other than a couple poor shots, he played pretty damn well considering how inconsistent the refs were. he had something like 28/15/5 in a big road win. hard to complain about melo tonight.
Melo's maturity is the only thing that holds him back from being mentioned more often in the same conversation with LeBron & Wade. Those two guys have a better head on their shoulders. He is immensely talented but sometimes his emotions really bite him in tough situations. There is a pattern. But when he's in control, few players are better than Melo in the clutch.
