so that translates to 40% and 30% in "Depth Perception arena" right?

to me, Miller upgrades today and tomorrow whereas sammy is a short term rental. If significant pieces have to be used for sam (i.e. upcoming talent such as Scola, Landry or Brooks) I say no thanks.

Though our guards are playing well now, they wont cut it come playoff time. If we are in fact serious about winning a championship or at least getting into the second round ... we need players who can create their own shot off and have that confidence about them. Last year Luther did absolutely nothing for us. Aaron brooks is a rookie. Rafer will not be able to create his own shot anymore than he did last year. Having said that, AB has the ability to create his own shot due to his quickness and Luther has shown some signs of developing that trait, but I'm not set on them being enough.

I would also like to see MJ and Francis be given one last chance, but ... I doubt Francis will ever get that shot again. MJ MIGHT, but it all depends on whether his shot falls or not. Do I think MJ > Luther come playoff time? Yes. But right now in the regular season, he'll be a little rusty. Those 2 guards give us a toughness that our team lacks and will need in the playoffs. Rafer, Luther, and AB do not. Right now those 3 are doing better than the other two, however mj and stevie, if they can regain form and reach their potential (hitting the shots they've been hitting their careers, etc.) then we'd be better off.

We're going to probably need to trade one of these five though. Mike Miller would be an awesome player to trade for. We do need a for sure 3rd scorer b/c we've just become too darn predictable. I think it'd be fair to snyder to trade him ... He'd too good to not get a single minute of playing time. Not to mention athletic.

I hope Francis eventually comes back ... stupid GS game ... or w/e that game was that injured. Hmm, when he starts, he plays in a way that takes away his abilities ... He only took 4 shots in that start to Toronto. I look at Rafer takin like 15 shots sometimes and I wonder ... Francis, you wont get traded if you shoot 10 shots. But w/e.

i don't want james as a pg at all, i think that was a mistake by adelman. he should come out as sg only, where the pg can create looks for him etc. james should not have been trying to run this offense and setup other players. like whenever tmac is doubled, he can kick it out to him for an open three. james can also drive past atleast one defender and finish a layup, or pass it out to yao if the help comes.

i am very worried about this team as the way it is now. So we finally started winning a bunch of games against losing teams with a day off in-between each game. Even all these these bad teams are still putting up strong fights each night, and it seems we have to bare it out in order to win. Sorry for not being happy with how the rockets are playing right now.

what i fear about most is alston and head in the playoffs. whatever kind of shot alston has right now and as well as all those sky hooks he's been making left and right; come playoffs, you can kiss them goodbye.

luther head will be so nervous, i don't think anything except for for him to turn the ball over on every single possession is what to expect for him. ya, he might make one or two 3s during a playoff game, but when the pressure hits and the other team has momentum, look for him to turn the ball over, and maybe hit the rim with his 3 point shot.

so far this season, James was put out there in times where the other team was already stomping on the rockets, and as a pg most of the time.

i would trust james way ahead of luther in the playoffs. he does not fold under pressure, and he is someone who can bring alot of energy and momentum to the rockets in the playoffs when we need it the most.

Francis, more than anything, we will need to defend baron davis, deron williams, chauncey billups etc. etc.

Francis can also break down defenses and hit open shots, as well as create shots and make clutch shots when we really need baskets the most. Think Rafer Alston would be any help in the phoenix game at that exact time when steve ran it to the rim and refused to be denied? hell no.
