Boozer's jumper is much better -- Yao is helpless against that. I still think Yao is not having one of his better days.

Yao doesn't want touches. You can clearly see that he's reluctant to put himself in position where he's the focal point on offense. Yao's just playing soft and scared again. I emphasize that Yao is playing SOFT. He got b**** slapped by scrubs like Foster and Bogut and now by some newcomer like Jefferson. Yao should be benched for someone with heart, like Landry until Yao decides that he wants to play basketball. Yao's killing us while with Landry in, we actually built a lead. Also, Tmac needs to take some more shots on nights like this.

looks like the starters got the job done in the first qtr to the tune of a point lead. the problem was the second qtr when the second unit was outscored.

i hope to see the starters push the lead to double digits going into the 4th.

it's just focus. he has been stripped 3 times for potentially point blank shots.

I barely recognize the tall dude playing for the Rox. When did we trade Yao for this stiff? :(

Can we request the league to rule Yao out of any individual awards from now on? Everytime he got the praise from the league, POW or POM, he started to play like crap in the subsequent games. Mystery.

Yao doesn't need a huge game when the rest of the team steps up. Balanced offense, right?

Yao needs a huge game and the rest of the team needs a huge game against NO, Utah, Dallas, etc.

We're only up by 5 and the Rockets have a history of playing down to the level of crappier teams and then choking in the end. If Yao or anyone else is taking it easy because he's got more help offensively in this type of situation, they should be benched until they develop some heart.

There must be an explanation for his poor play lately.

The team is playing well as a whole though, and now that Tracy is back, maybe Yao doesn't need to exert as much energy as before?

he'll end up having a decent game.

besides, he can't get 30-20 every night.

Well, you're talking exactly like what your nick suggests....i.e. Monkey Talk!!

Did you know that Yao Ming tweaked his ankle in his last game by Yi Jianlian of Milwaukee Bukcs?

Did you read in one of the latest interviews that he's feeling the heat of that stretch of the games that he had to play without Tracy McGrady that he felt his physical strength reserves he worked so hard during the summer was being drained?

Relax. The Big Man will find his ways back from his slump.
