While the last few games haven't exactly been pretty, it is nice to see different players stepping up in crunch time. Versus the Bucks, it was TMac making huge buckets and finishing with 33 points. Versus Indiana, it was Landry making 9/11, cleaning the glass, and getting to the line. Versus Golden State, it was Yao with 36/19 and dominating a small, fast team. If we become a team that has big contributions from different players, then our future will look a lot brighter.
I agree.. we should all put our differences aside and realize that the Rockets is actually becoming a much more balanced team compared to last year. Stop hating on TMac or Yao.
Also with the Rockets having such a deep bench, it becomes less important for Rafer, Bonzi, and Shane to be a scorer. They just let the game come to them, because Scola, Landry, Brooks can do the same and it all balances out.
We can actually win tight games in the fourth quarter. Last year it was either a blowout win or a lost....
I thought it was going to be how you save money by switching to Geico....... But I'm glad there is good news here since the game discussion is all bad news.
When is the last time a Rockets team had 8 players get 20 or more points in a game the same season McGrady Yao Alston Scola Bonzi Brooks Head Landry Battier is close as his season high is 18. Also, Rafer has scored double figures in 21 of the last 26 games.
It is definitely a luxury to have 5-6 guys who are very capable of dropping 20+ on any given night. Things appear to be coming together even if it is not exactly like anyone, including the head coach, thought it would.
not good enough ,when i saw the topic,i took for granted that Atest traded to Houston , NOT,a bit disappointment.
besides all, I am regaining faith in t-mac and battier.....a good thing and that we are really making smart decisions when situations change on the court is making me believe we are getting better
Who would've thunk the "new" talents that would make this team better would be the three rookies? We all thought James, Bonzi, and Francis would be the keys. BTW, Adelman was known to use a short rotation. Now we have 10 guys contributing: Yao McGrady Battier Alston Hayes Scola Head Wells Brooks Landry It will be interesting to see what the rotation is going to look like comes playoff time.
Even against some weakest teams, Yao has to play 40+minutes, do you say the team has been improved? If Yao continue to play 40+ minutes, he will be exhausted soon. Forget about playoffs. .
