I was reading the pre-game analysis thread and this was my reaction : Seriously... im getting tired of all of you guys saying..."if it wasn't for ______, we would have lost." Tmac today, landry yesterday. They are all on the Rockets. if tmac didn't take his 20 something shots...someone else would have. Who knows if they make it or not but in the end they are all wearing the same jersey bringing home the W. Common people
cont. from game thread: right probably wouldnt have Adelman cuz Van Gundy would stay. and either Scola or Landry 'maybe' wouldnt be here, but those deals were independent of the coach. actually we probably wouldnt have Aaron Brooks out of all the rookies... we wouldnt be giving a crap about any of this though if they'd have advanced.
Very true. Its good that different players are stepping up at the end of games to close them out. Against Golden State Warriors - Yao closed the game Against Pacers - Landry did Today against Bucks - T-mac
Good stuff: T-Mac was a monster. The Rockets get a win. Bad stuff: Yao had a lousy game. It's still an open question whether or not T-Mac can actually integrate into the offense. Four Rockets get into double figures but the scoring/shot attempts are completely dominated by T-Mac. I'd be a lot happier if two other Rockets had gotten close to 20 points, or if Scola and Landry had been able to break double figures. This looks to me like a repeat of the start of the season where T-Mac played out of his mind and the Rockets compiled a losing record.
T-Mac had a great game tonight, a lot of penetration into the rim and later on, get his jump shoot right on when the game is tight. Monster had a 30+ doubledouble game with 6 assists. Yao didn't play well tonight.... last game as well, I began to worry about him
i vote for: temporary bans for unnecessary posts about Yao and McGrady. there's nothing wrong with expressing your feelings about them, but clogging up every single thread with the same "shemac", "t-jack", "robot-man"(lol) or whatever is destructible to these forums for everyone not wanting to lilly-gag like high-school kids. ... Yao played like a weak, nervous little girl tonight. I think it hit alot of nerves from knowing his whole country was watching him & Yi, and he just wanted to do to much. I think he ended up working himself up too much and ended up being a nervous wreck. Bogus was trying to bully him around alot, and succeeded. That made things alot harder to watch since lately Yao has been really playing with more control and power, not letting people push him around alot. So it ended up exposing Yao made him look very weak to his own country and around america in this nationally televised games. Yao seems to always have very mediocre to poor performances on nationally televised games. Tracy seems to have great to phenomenal games under the spotlight. In the end, a win is a win, and now the Rockets will have another practice which they will need for the next game. Time to get things together now.
You don't know about fans at all... I figure most of YAO's fan would be happy cause we got away with a win even though he had a awful game. Most fans're not like what you think with a "ONLY" after their names...
Denver about to go up by 10 To Nuggets4 if you're looking: Yes, these Nuggest announcers are indeed BRUTAL
what i like about tonight's game: 1) another good offensive game - 50% shooting on 24 assists. 2) we closed out strong again in the 4th - 27 pts and put the game away with a 9-0 run. we should put away these teams earlier but any win on the road is good. we're showing a lot of promise.
I actually got bored. Another "play down to the level of competition" type of game, a Rockets specialty. Redd did not play. Wow. I just don't think teams really going anywhere that are going to do anything approach games that way.
Yes but we were winning in the beginning of the season. I wouldnt say that TMac dominated shot attempts, everyone got their chance.
