yah know, they drafted a point, picked up James and Francis, you can argue all season long about how effective those moves were but they certainly seem aware of the pg issue ...

I would trade AB+Skip+MJ+Batt+1st rounder for Kidd.

No lcue if the salaries match up, but NJ would get a decent return and Kidd would probably average 12 assists a game with TMac and Yao.

Which one of those moves upgraded the position?

AB could be the move that solved PG position in the future, but not this year.

I thought people were complaining about how poorly our point guards shoot, Rafer, Mike, Franchise, etc. And you guys want to bring in an even worse shooter? Atleast he can rebound his own misses though. :D :D

All of them. We are better off at the PG this year than last year. Skip basically had no real backup playing 40+ minutes a night.

If there's any chance of getting Kidd for McGrady, pull the trigger. That will be the most he will ever bring back.

Alston still averages 33 minutes a game. Brooks is playing a little less than 19 shooting a meek 29% from beyond the arc. He's a fine change of pace player but nothing other teams fear.

    for

    Kidd and Jefferson

Better defense and Jefferson averages the same as Tmac and Kidd is definite upgrade over Rafer. We lose ou

interesting that TNT ad ESPN both made mention of Kidd to Houston, even if it was just a thought rather than inside info.

i highly doubt we're in the running at all. just nice to be mentioned.

I don't think it's the right time to get Kidd morever his salary is huge. Our team are getting to know the new system and each other better. While pondering and learning in the first half season, we have lost 19 games. If we get Kidd, we will lose a few more or maybe a lot more before we get better again and we can't afford that this season. Can't we wait until he is a free agent though it could years from now.

Sure, if you don't mind never getting out of the first round.

I want to keep our three rookies. We need to groom players for the future as well as try to win this season. I know Scola is a much more experienced player than the other two, but he's still learning the league and hopefully starting now. Trade some other people, but hang on to these three.

You know in some cases I'd agree with you, but if you have a chance to WIN NOW, you jump on it all day over the "potential" to win in 5 years. If you have to give up all your young players to win the next 2 years and have to start over, you take that all day (just like Rockets tried to do with Barkley which was pretty good except for freak injuries).

People hate Barkley deal, but if it wasn't for some injuries and Quitten being Quitten, we probably could've won at least 1 more ring.

Why so we would have that 19 million dollar contract? He is a good player, but Kidd makes him great. I don't think he would be the same player w/ rafer running the show, but I guess we will never know.

It's called a 3-way deal. Just like the proposed Mavs/Blazers/Nets rumblings for Kidd.

    are you just playing dumb?

try to respond on point, Rockets management is aware of the issue at pg.
