I think that will be the case. I hope I'm wrong though, but it seems like they'll go down the same road as Barkley, Stockton, and Malone. So many talents are emerging these days.

I'm just glad that there aren't that many "glass half empty" guys on this board. It would really make this forum overrun with negative threads

It's much harder to win a championship these days with the 30 teams, especially if you are in the Western Conference. A lot of players piggy-back on a contender at the tail end of their career to get their championship. T-Mac and Yao don't seem like that kind of player, though.

    I say it's unlikely.

I dont see them winning a championship unless they get a good point guard and a pure shooter.

The question sounds like a trick question. I voted no, cause I think one of them will win a championship, perhaps not with the Rockets. But at least one of them will. Say Tmac does not win a championship with the Rockets, but 3-4 years from now gets a chance to go to the most championship likely team as a strong bench player. Do you think he would not do it? Same thing with Yao. If he does not win a championship with the Rockets within the next two years, we can all say goodbye to him, cause he will move on to a team where he knows he can win. Our window is very small.

Unless the Rockets put a better supporting cast around them. Watching Dallas, Boston, Suns and Spurs tonight, they run so much talent on and off the court. The Rockets just don't match up with that kind of talent. Need a PG in the worst way, big and can shoot. Need a young athletic big, perhaps a back up center. A deadeye shooter at any position that has a decent all around game would transform this team.

Exactly my thoughts. Yao will finish his career with the Rockets and probably win a ring or three. TMac's days are numbered by either trade or injuries.

Your poll and thread title are reversed, causing the votes to be screwed if you don't read the poll question.

The question of a poll has to be phrased more clearly and less confusing. I guess at least 30% of people have voted the wrong option. That makes the poll kinda meaningless.

Considering the Lakers just got Pau Gasol to play with KOBE. doesn't matter. TMAC is not getting a ring unless he goes to LA.
