Trade T-Mac? hell NO, keep him in Houston. i would hate to see Michael Redd play for the rox i hate that dude. plus t-mac is my booyyy, Toronto made a stupid move by giving him up i don't wanna see Houston making the same mistake.

Since some of you guys seem to want to get rid of Tmac at all cost I believe Hedo Turkeyglue would be a better fit for this club. He is clutch and doesnt dominate the ball. Tmac will be reunited with Howard in the east and probably beat up on the Rox everytime they play. Both sides happy.

For those of you trying to compare numbers here's a perfect example:

Last year, Vince Carter and T-Mac put up near identical numbers. Do you know which one was the MVP candidate and on the All-NBA team?

I voted for Redd, but I thought he was a catch-and-shoot guy, like a rich man's Cuttino. If he's a dribble/rhythm shooter like Steve, not a chance.

All I want is a guy who makes good decisions, defends well, and fits in a pass-centric offense with a big man. I think Tracy is a great player, but I don't think he is the perfect fit with Yao.

I think I want to trade Tracy for Nash.

    * I know Nash is not a good defender.

Yes, let's fail to mention that Tracy plays with nagging and chronic injuries even when he does play, and let's leave out this season (of which he has missed half). Brilliant!

Well you didn't mention it the first time so why so I? I'm not going to help you make your arguement. A Tmac at 70 percent is still a lot better then Redd. Heck a one legged Tmac is probably still better then Redd.

Their offensive #'s are about the same. T-Mac obviously a better distributor while Redd is a better shooter across the board. Defensively T-Mac has more ability but does he exert it, and Redd has never had much interest in D; maybe b/c his teams have sucked or he just cares about the offensive side.
IMO, I keep McGrady til the end of the year and see how it shakes up. If you see a reason to keep him then keep him, if you see the team regress then trade him.

    Wow, what a first post.

Dude, as least give us a reason or two for why you said so, ok?

That would be interesting. Who would we be likely to give up for him? Because if it's T-Mac I think that would be a bad trade.

Really don't understand why there are people choosing Redd. Even a ToH like me would say TM definitely! ;)

Uhh, how would Redd work any better than Tmac? At least Tmac looks to pass...I don't see how Redd would fit in Adelman's motion offense at all. Tmac can defend and dish when his shot isn't falling. Redd can't do anything when his shot isn't falling. Everyone's main criticism of Tmac is that he dominates the ball a little too much but that he's perfectly capable of playing w/in the system. It's just that he's not used to it yet. Redd can't do squat other than dribble, dribble, shoot, clank, run up the floor.

    a little too much?

tmac is by far our most gifted athlete. and yes, he's perfectly capable of playing in adelman's system. so why is it that he's the only one who isnt used to adelman's system yet?

the answer is obvious. b/c he doesnt want to get used to it. if he doesnt want to be a team player, i wouldnt mind trading him.

What? You have got to be kidding me? T-Mac plays basically sick tonite but, plays his heart out. Still gets boards and some dimes even if he really could not shoot because his illness and you have the audacity to question if he's a team player? What a tool! The answer is obvious! You obviously are clueless on this subject.
