Adleman seems to be much more creative in trying new lineups. Let's hope he finds the right ones and we can go on a big run in February because March is looking pretty rough.
Because you keep making negative comments all the time even before it actually happen. Why is the reason you don't want the rockets to make the playoff????
Everybody in the West will have rough March because the West will start playing each other instead of beating on to the weak East.
badgerfan, there's no way, absolutely 0% chance that the top 4 seeds are going to be SA DAL PHX and NO. Maybe you have forgotten how the playoff seeding works? It looks like the 3rd seed is going to be either Utah, Den or Portland. So if we somehow get the 6th seed.... I also like our chance against an aging SA but as it stands they're not even in the top 4 right now.
I completely agree. The west is absolutely ridiculous this year. The number 1 team and the 10th place team are only 7 games apart. Anything can happen and for all the fans that think this season is over don't deserve to call themselves Rockets fans! Right now the team is finally starting to click under RA's system. By seasons end the Rockets will be in the top 5 of the west. No DOUBT!
This year is crazy. No team is close to .500! The worst team over .500 is 4 games better than the best team under .500. This basically means that there are two types of teams: Good ones and bad ones. Unfortunately, the West has 10 good teams (the East only has 6) and we're on the bottom fighting to get a playoff spot.
This means that two of the west teams that fail to make the postseason will have a chance at the #1 pick. Thats just sick. Imagine Portland coming in at number 10 and winning the lotto.
Even if I was an utter moron to say the Rockets have no chance, things just got a bit uglier for the Rockets. If Bynum come back healthy, the Lakers may become the Celtics of the East. I know that comment alone will rile up a few of you. Believe it.
What a fascinating season this turning out to be. The Spurs of all teams seem the most vulnerable right now. The Lakers have been playing great. Just about all of their young role players have really stepped up their game. I think Fischer has really been an upgrade over Smush Parker. I still have questions about the Hornets and Blazers, but they are certainly tough. The Suns and Warriors are exciting as always. The Mavs are kind of slipping under the radar right now, but it wouldn't surprise me if they win it all. They play great defense and can cut you up a lot of ways on offense. As for the Rockets, I think they are deep enough that they can coast along until they really gel and still win enough games to make the playoffs. If they can just win a series, I think they could really make a run. We will see.
Celtics of the west you mean and denver golden state and portland will all finish behind us 1 phoenix 2 dallas 3 los angeles 4 utah 5 san antonio 6 houston 7 golden state 8 denver we match up well against la IMO
Eh, I read the Gasol signing as they have almost made their odds of dropping out zero. Hurts the Rockets sure, but Rockets still have to get ahead of 2 teams. So that leaves GSW, POR, HOU, DEN, SAS fighting for spots 5-8. 60% chance to make the play-offs(3 go in, 2 go home) vs 66% chance to get in.
The Spurs are not the same but they are still a top-tier team. Alston may be an upgrade over Smush Parker. Still doubting the Hornets?? I can understand questioning the Blazers, but the Hornets? Do you SERIOUSLY think the Rockets can coast? Please define coasting.
We dont match up well against Floppers. And under that scenario I could just see Dallas saying to LA: "Go ahead, I'm uh, waiting for someone."
