Not a UTSA guy, but am going to try to make the Southland tournament at the Merryl Center in Katy this year.
Went there my freshman year (93-94). Lived in Chisholm Hall...when I actually made it back to my room. Was academically suspended and never went back.
I lived in Chisholm Hall 98-99. I must say UTSA has the most concentrated amount of good looking Hispanic women around. That coupled with a 2-1 women to men ratio back then made for a good time.
Graduated from there in 98. Lived at University Oaks. Go Roadrunners. UTSA Football. Still Undefeated.
Graduated from there in 2000... Came back to work at UTSA in 2006, still there. If you guys haven't been on campus in a while, you will not recognize it. Expansion and new buildings going up everywhere. In about 10 more years, it will really be a big time campus.
me, but I keep a low profile. The expansion is crazy... I actually was hoping not to go to that big a school... construction everywhere and you can't walk around it. I guess it will be nice, but everything is concentrated right together - makes parking a pain.
You got me curious to see how many clutchfans are in UTD. I dunno if i should start a thread though. UTD anybody?........
I wanna do the same for UT-Austin. I know one person on the board from there, but I've known him since I was a kid so it really doesn't count. Also, I heard UTSA wanted to "secede" as a UT sub school and become The University of San Antonio. I also heard it's a real nice campus. A couple of my friends are on the CAP program there and are living in Chaparral. They say it's nicer than some Houston apartments.
Not true. That does not make sense and has never been mentioned in our 10 year plan. Yes Chap is nice. A new hall named Laurel is brand new and very similar to Chaparral. The rec center is including a nice outdoor, spa style pool area. Add in the Shops at La Cantera and The Rim shops, and it makes for a really nice area.
