I was impressed with Landry tonight again. He made a lot of hustle plays and rebounded well again. His energy is infectious to the entire team. This guy dives after balls and on one putback dunk his face was level with the rim.

Now if only we can get him to stop trying to defend the floor with his face :D

I've only seen a bit of Landry but he reminds me of Len Bias Lite.

Just saying, if he plays the way he is playing now, and after his rookie contract expires, is he worth 2.5mil-3mil ?

I have been thinking this same thing. It is a definite dilemna for the Rockets. If you give him too many minutes he might play his way right out of Houston. Absolutely cannot afford to give him big minutes or you will have to give him a big chunk of the MLE. Keep him as a role player and backup to Yao and you still will need more than the rookie minimum. I would say he has already caught the eye of several GM's looking for an athletic pf on the cheap. Expect someone to try to overpay him this offseason. The only edge is that he likes Houston already and he will get a shoe deal if he stays here no doubt.

he won't do much except for spots on this housdton team. his games still has many flaws.

he may be scary next season with his good work ethic though.

He's still developing. I predict over the summer he adds a 3 pt shot to his arsenal and then...watch out. Still he's playing every game like it was the NCAA final. Who dives for a ball like that on a routine play in the NBA? Got 5 stiches in his lower lip as his reward. You gotta give a guy who hustles like that more minutes. It seems like he's starting to figure out the speed of the NBA and how to avoid fouls. There are a lot of cagey veteran tricks he hasn't learned yet but he'll get them. He could definately use Hakeem's big man camp to learn some shake and bake moves. If he gains more confidence and starts to handle the rock and drive to the basket, he'll be another Boozer.

Are you serious? Len Bias was nothing like Carl Landry. Well I take that back...they're both black.

It is really great performance from Landry and a show of his will to win. HIs stitches will be the proof to his intensity and his heart in games. I believed
everyone in the team inspired by him. Just hope that would continue to improve his defense but he doesn't have to use his face to do that in future :D
