Have you notice how tough(Dirty) Scola plays? If you follow him closely you will see him playing very Physical to opponents, off the ball in between possession bumping players in out of bound plays, when the other teams go to the FT line in the rebound opportunity even if they make their FT he goes to the floor and take a guy with him. When he foul most of the time he does it hard and love to slap hard at opponents hand sometime getting a piece of their face. I know he is a little bit dirty, but you need this players in your team, drain opponents energy, make them feel some heat and make the feel they have to work hard for everything. How do you like hes aggressiveness? To much? You want to see more?
i like to see yao get physical as well, but since he is so poorly officiated i worry it will just get him in foul trouble.
Cattle gun, lol. Is it just me or does Scola look kind of like the killer Javier Bardem plays in his latest movie? Actually, I think Scola looks kind of like Bardem in the first place. I like Scola a lot. From what I understand he basically left Argentina at the age of 17 to go play basketball in a foreign country. I can't imagine packing up and moving to another country to work when I was still a teenager. He's mature beyond his years, I think, and a really humble and hard working guy. What a steal by the Rockets.
Huge fan of Scola's game. Along with Landry, and also Brooks, I think we may have a gem of a GM in Morey.
I want to see Yao do a 316 pound leg drop on Manu Ginobilli. I want to see Yao do a 316 pound elbow drop on Josh Howard. I want to see Yao do a 5 foot reverse crossbody on Fabricio Oberto. And finally, I want to see Yao powerbomb Dirk Nowitzki right onto a table. Oh ya.... and Yao and Scola can combine to do the Doomsday Device on Carlos Boozer.
Well, I can't take credit. This was posted here way back a few years ago. It's just that badgerfan's comments reminded me of this article.
I just want to see Scola dunk the ball instead of finger-rolling like he's George Gervin. I don't know what it is with these foreign big men who come over to the NBA, but Scola is going through same thing Yao went through. He refuses to dunk the ball, and it's really costing us points nearly every game. I can't even count how many times I've seen him miss that short finger roll layup on the right side of the basket.
i never doubt about luis' ability and hustle, that what he's been doing in international courts those year, the only problem he's facing now is ref's offciating, refs are all not quite familiar with how he plays, he may get a lot of unfair or contorversial calls, but we all know, that's usually how refs welcome rookies in this league, he's gonna get better next year...
I was wondering if anyone had managed to cap the video of Scola's baseline move in the 3rd - I DVR'd the game, and either Dish or my DVR decided to have a brain fart during that play and it was just plain old skipped, and they never played a replay of it the rest of the game that I could tell. Anyone? I was just curious to see it...
