Smoked a little bit but only on occasions when I was 25 (back in '98). I remember the first time my mother saw me smoke, I thought she was going to pass out. Seriously. At any rate, I never seriously considered to continue because 1) I hate the smell, especially the smell it leaves on your clothes 2) Too expensive of a habit for me to continue 3) I have enough health issues with my poor diet to add on top of it smoking And when I dated, I would never go out with someone who was a smoker. Now my sister and her husband have smoked for years - they will probably never quit which sucks for my little nephew (he is like 1 and a half).
just mary jane. dont get the appeal of cigs really. actually you know what, id be interested in finding out if more people smoke weed than just cigarettes. i know that more people i know (granted, i'm in college) smoke weed rather than cigs, and its not really even close.
I hate the smell of cigarettes. When I was something like 10 years old, I just couldn't stand it at all... Yes, I've tried smoking out (while drunk) and I've noticed that it's not really my thing. I don't see any sense in smoking, but if someone want's to smoke, it doesn't bother me. Do as you please. Sometimes when a friend of mine is about to go out to the balcony to have a cigarette, I like to remind her of all the dangers of smoking. I know she'll someday quit smoking!
I've noticed that I get pissed off at people driving the rush hour commutes who are smoking...similar to how people are always talking on their cell phones during their commute (who do you have to talk to at 7:30 am in the morning anyway?). The reason I get pissed is the smokers are usually so busy getting their fix on that their clogging up the fast lane or just traffic in general. They seem to be more into ensuring they blow the smoke out the window than actually focusing on the driving situation. Their usually in the fast lane or driving real slow with log jams behind them. Maybe that isn't always the case but I swear to God that I've spent and wasted more time behind smokers and cell phone users in cars than I care to. Their heads are so far up their asses in la la land that they don't give a ***** in general about what's happening on the road. That's my impression at least. Every damn day of my life...there is some a-hole either smoking or talking on a cell phone while driving below the speed limit in the fast lane...the one lane where traffic is supposed to be fast or get the ***** over. I digress... .
I smoked in college around the "artsy" and "theatre" people I hung out with but when I moved back home I realized I didn't want my parents to know.. so I tried to hide it. Then realizing if I was trying to hide it, it probably wasn't a smart thing to do... and so I quit. I didn't smoke huge amounts.. I was at maybe half a pack a day.
see sig. i only smoke clowns like you on the b-ball court. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tSjfQhjFGa8&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tSjfQhjFGa8&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
nope... but i too must be strange, cause i like the smell of it right after it's lit. though i think it's just the paper that's burning before it gets to to tobacco and other ingredients.
