Gibson is playing well right now and the Cavs are not going to trade him.

I will try to get Salim Stoudamire. Stoudamire is a cheap option and he really has a sweent stroke and release - a pure shooter. Stoudamire can hit open shots 10 in a row no doubt. And his shooting % will probably sky-rocketing if Stoudamire plays with T-Mac and Yao.

That doesn't mean I would do it. The only reason I thought of it was because Les wants to burn some salary, and Kidd wants out.

    I really like this idea:

    Kirk Snyder + Mike James

    for

    Damon Jones + Ira Newble

Even if none of those guys end up making a difference on our team, we've dumped some salary and lost no significant productivity.

However, I do like the idea of getting rid of James and Snyder, which opens up minutes at both backup Guard spots. Play Luther more at the 2, and have Damon Jones back up the spot.

He's a great 3pt shooter, has played well with Shaq before, has an excellent asst/to ratio, and doesn't have a big contract.

I would be VERY comfortable with a Rafer (passer)-Brooks(penetrator)-Jones(shooter) rotation at PG.

Have the Magic given up on Redick yet? If so, might as well offer them Snyder's expiring deal and see if they have any interest.

Larry Hughes is like an advanced version of Rafer Alston.

how many more years does hughes have on his contract?

if we can move snyder + james (both not playing) + alston for hughes, it would open up minutes at the pg for brooks and give us another solid defender.

hughes has a crazy contract but if it doesnt have too may years i could live w/ it...

anyone know the availability of kevin martin and john salmons? both having good seasons, have played under adelman...
