the game is TOMORROW. they have a day off. usually when it's game-time decision, good chance they'll play. and didn't bonzi have the flu in portland too? is he the culprit for spreading this?
Probably I can imagine that these guys would be pretty weak after each game. They do have to deal with exhaustion so catching the flu isn't a long stretch by any imagination
Can't Les afford to have the whole team get the flu shot since they travel accross the country with more chances of catching the darn thing.
Here in Austin it is going around, and even those that got the flu shot are catching it, though theirs tends to be less severe. It starts with a quick spike in temperature to around 102...and goes downhill from there. DD
It's definitely been going around. My sister caught it, and several of my friends have. I'm starting to think I'd better start chugging antioxidants and Airborne like crazy so I don't get hit with it. This year somehow seems worse than previous ones.
they MUST play. this game is too big. this is beyond the standings. the warriors have OWNED us this year. we must show if we play our game to our capability, we can beat them. i think landry and scola didn't play much against them before, same with brooks. they will be the difference.
Honestly, I'd rather we just keep them home so this thing doesn't spread further. I know GS is a competitor for a playoff spot... but it's still just one game. Personally, it would be worse if we were playing a scrub like the Sonics, because those games we can't afford to lose.
If Al Harrington tries to front Yao, Yao should start coughing and tell Harrington he still has a flu.
Bonzi should have spent Saturday night at home instead of heading out to Zeppelin with Dikembe, Luther and their entourage. They showed up around 12:45 and I'm sure stayed until last call.
our young guys are going to be key. luther always plays well against them. brooks and landry should do well too. will it be good enough to win?
To be honest, the answer is: "NO, that's not good enough". Dunks, layups, mid-range shootings & 3 pt shootings - the Warriors are all better than the Rockets. Monta Ellis is also playing crazy good in recent games. I cant even think of any Rockets guards can counter his 3 sec layup move - just run down the court with the ball for a layup. The only hope is to have Yao protecting the paint with tough defense, control the tempo, slow the Warriors down and over-powering the Warriors in offense. Otherwise, I think it's a loss. Go small against the Warriors is suicide.
Agreed! If Yao can defending the paint well, the warriors have to depend on outside shootings. Some warriors are really inconsistent, like Jackson. We are able to win this game.
