So I paid $96 for 4 items that I was going to resell for $192 total. I sold one item for $48, but the other three items got destroyed by me in an accident.

    Am I out $48 or am I out $144? either way I'm a clumsy oaf :(

You lost $48 but you could have been out more if you go on potential profit.

    Are you a drug dealer?

Flushing merchandise down the toilet =/= "accident"

This was already posted before. Ignore the exchange of the counterfeit bill w/ your neighbor and act like you did it directly. It's up to you to decide if the profit lost on the shoes is a loss.

Uh... he asked "MONEY". Nice try, you lose.

    Paid 96 / 4 = 24 each
    Resell 192 4 = 48 each
would make profit of 48-24 = 24 each, net profit 96

Made 24 back of the 96, so you lost 72 total in goods, regardless of future sales.

You are down the cost of your goods, so $48.
