Here's another rating you might want to consider. Rate the #3, #4 and #5 starters (Alston, Battier, Hayes) compared to the rest of the West. You'll probably find something very interesting! :(

This is how many wins I think they'd get if they lost their superstar for the season:

    Spurs - w/o Duncan: 42 wins
    Mav - w/o Dirk: 42 wins
    Det- w/o Billups: 41 wins
    Jazz - w/o Williams: 39 wins
    Celtics - w/o KG: 39 wins
Denver - w/o Melo or AI: 38 wins
    Portland - w/o Roy: 38 wins
    Suns - w/o Nash: 37 wins
    Orl- w/o DH: 37 wins
    Houston - w/o T-Mac or Yao: 36 wins
    GS - w/o Davis: 34 wins
    NewOrl - w/o CP3: 30 wins
    Lakes - w/o Kobe: 30 wins

I am wondering which one is a better team?

    Spurs - w/o Duncan or Spurs - w/o Manu?

In fact, without Duncan, they still beat Mavs!

With all the rule changes, perimeter players are becoming way more valuable than big men.

Rockets have no depth compared to all of those other teams. All we have are promising rookies. That aint going to cut it. Rafer doesn't cut it in a league where good point guards are abundant. Deron williams, Steve nash, Mike Bibby, Brandon Roy, Chris Paul, Tony Parker, Devin harris, Jason terry, Allen Iverson, and Baron Davis.... Now where do you think Rafer ranks among those?

I tried to focus on rating the rockets only compared to the other teams instead of rating all the other teams then it would of felt more in it belonged in NBA dish. My rating is that all the other teams are good without their superstars because they have more depth and the rockets dont.

Then why the Suns sucks without Nash, NO without CP3 they are lottery team. Portland Solo reason they are overarchiving is Roy maturation, Before Williams Jazz sucks and they have nobody to play point the most important position in Jazz system. Etc Etc.

BTW Houston fully healthy Bench >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than
New Orleans, GS, Portland, Orlando, Celtics, Phx, etc.

If they actually use him but SA (other than when Ginobilli come to play) have zero plays for him all he does is uncontested layups and rebounds, sets picks etc. He is slightly better use than Hayes, but he is a better, talent wise than Hayes, look they don't even using Elson, and I have no idea why.

I know, but they don't use it, no Idea why?? Thats why I said he is = to Hayes as how they use them. They both the 5 option on the floor, get extra rebounds, play defense hustle. The only time the use him is with Ginobilli kind like Hayes and T-mac.

The thing is a good team in the West can = lotto. In the east, you can have a losing record and still might make it to the playoffs.
