Tomorrow night Bush gives his last SOTU Pretty bold move by Mr. McCain -- McCain to Skip State of Union Address Republican Sen. John McCain is skipping President Bush's State of the Union address on Monday night even though Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton plan to attend. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/27/mccain-to-skip-state-of-u_n_83479.html
From today's WaPo -- "That is the problem Bush faces as he prepares to deliver his seventh and probably final State of the Union address tonight." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2008/01/27/ST2008012702356.html?hpid=topnews Waaa?!?!?!? probably final?!?!?
Flog me for this, but I don't plan on listening. I haven't missed a SOTU address in probably 15-20 years but I just don't want to hear a word this sorry president has to say. I want to forget about him in short order and look to the future. I also might change my mind.
In order to secure the security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized into the first Galactic Empire, for a safe and secure society.
I agree. This could be the most useless SOTU ever. What could he seriously talk about? How the economy is in the tank? How Iraq is no more prepared to take care of themselves than in the past? Osama who? Just disappear into the history books, Mr. Bush. Please.
