All you can hope for is for Eddie to continue to improve. I don't get too worked up about rookie all star selections or postseason awards. He already has great defensive prowess, and now needs to work on his post up moves. Mr. Mean needs to get Griff over to Westside this summer and bang him around a little. Heck, maybe Hakeem will offer to teach him a couple of moves...

To change the subject slightly...Does Kwame Brown still play for the Wizards?

my favorite part, "The biggest travesty of the naming of the Rookie Challenge team for All-Star Weekend was the fact that Griffin wasn’t on the squad."

"...........Griffin has taken advantage of his increased minutes, giving Houston a low-post scorer they didn’t have earlier in the year. And he’s blocking shots like a certain Dream-y player of the past. Griffin moves up to No. 6 in Basketball News’ latest weekly look at the top rookies, ranked in order of their Rookie of the Year odds at this point in the season."

While I'm glad Eddie is getting some pub, I don't think these people have actually seen Eddie play. If they had, they would know that he is not a low-post scorer at this stage in his career.

Also on the Jim Rome show today there was an agent on who was discussing different things like Darius Miles not making the sophmore team. Then he turns around and goes on for a few minutes on Griffin being snubbed saying that Griff has been playing better than any other rook in the last 4-6 weeks and he's a Philly native. He basically says that the NBA screwed up by picking the team in December rather than the end of January. Rome was with him on this.
