Whatever... Yao doesn't match up well against Boozer or Okur...

This might actually be better for the team.

Well, this is a bad game for him to miss standings-wise, but at least we know Yao matches up relatively poorly against the Jazz on the defensive side. He would have to guard Boozer, which is a definite mismatch.

I expect Scola and Landry to shine in this game... I also expect T-mac to have double digit assists.

Portland look like they are headed for a loss against the Hawks. If they lose and the Rockets beat the Jazz. It would be a three way tie for 8th with the Rockets currently holding all the tie-breaks.

    Then this had to happen...

The Rockets got a few front court guys who can fill in for Yao pretty well. What I would be concerned about, though, is foul problem. Chuck, Scola, and Landry all tend to foul a lot... tonight, they gotta be VERY careful about being needlessly over-aggressive.

Mutombo might be able to contribute some, too... but I don't want him guarding either Boozer or Okur, so that kinda limits his effectiveness in this game.

Yeah, because losing 22 ppg, 11 rpg and 3 bpg is always a good thing.

Did you not watch the playoff series? Did you not see the match up problem when Yao had to guard Boozer? But the Rockets did beat the Jazz in the playoff thanks to the almighty Yao Ming.

What does the playoff series have to do with this year!? This year the Rockets are 1-0 when Yao plays against Utah. Yeah, the Rockets look like gangbusters out there without Yao tonight. Hakeem also struggled against Seattle and Houston routinely got their asses handed to them by the Sonics so, using your logic, he should have been benched to. There isn't a coach in the world who is going to bench a guy putting up those kind of numbers because of one playoff series.

What does Hakeem has anything to do with Yao? I would bench Yao but I will never bench Hakeem that's all you need to know. Hakeem >>>>>> Yao

So a 7 game series where Boozer basically scored at will against Yao doesn't mean anything? Nice "logic".

No offense... I said Yao doesn't match up well against Utah (even YOFs agree with me on this one) then you jump on me like a r****d. I guess I am an idiot
