Could he wear a shirt that says "**** joey" next game. Now that would be sweet.

Cuban plans on wearing a "Tony" nametag at DQ. I think it would be funny if he wore a "David" or "Ed".

btw, nice job on Unscripted with Chris Connelly. Send Connelly back to MTV.

As mentioned in another thread an NBL Related TV show will be gathering some players/coaches etc...together for a 'Fine Free Conversation' regarding referees.
How cool would it be to get Mark Cuban on in that... :D

Previously, I though Mr. Cuban had some good ideas about reforming refereeing, but thought he was too confrontational to get any serious changes done.

    Well screw that.

Tonight's game in Utah was the proverbial sledgehammer blow that broke the camel's back.

The NBA doesn't give a **** about my opinion, about the poor quality of officiating and inconsistent application of the rules. The reasoned, patient approach is doomed to failure as long as the NBA fails to see the problem with its officiating.

Enough is enough is enough - there is no excuse for what Joey Crawford did tonight. An NBA official should NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER influence a game like that.

In light of last year's debacle in Sacramento, I am disgusted beyond words. Until there are changes, while I will support the Rockets and now the Mavs, beyond that I won't give a **** about the remainder of the NBA - its college ball from here on out.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Cuban's T-shirt read:

    "Right is its own defense"

Wow... I emailed Mark Cuban a little after the game, and he already responded. He just told me to call the Rockets front office and tell them to support his efforts. Do you guys really think it's him?

feel however you want to feel about mark cuban as a person, as an anti-ref proponent, whatever. . .

just take a look at the stats [I don't have them], but take a look at the Mavericks' win-loss record since THE DAY cuban became the owner.

very impressive. I wonder if any owner in any sport has made as direct a positive influence on their team as has cuban.

    Mark Cuban is the man...

I wrote him an email when he took over the MAvs and two days later I had a job with the team. Great guy with so much passion. He is basically just like us, a big fan,and he owns a team...

Mark Cuban is the coolest owner in the NBA along with that philly guy. I know some people might not like the things he has to say but I think he's a classy guy. I remember when S. Pippen left us and when to the blazers then Pippen did something there classless as a blazer and after a game in dallas pippen decided to go to Mark Cuban's house and Mark kicked him out and told him to leave right when he got there (or something like that). That showed me that there are people out there that care more about class then popularity. That was really cool to me, that is the type of person I like and repect.

I also emailed him last night, but haven't gotten a response back yet. Part of it probably has to do with the Mavs having a game last night though...

    Mark, if you're reading this.......

You are the best owner in the league!!! :D

Yeah, Mark is an example to all of us internet developers of what life could be like if breaks went our way. I have only the highest admiration for how he has pursued and obtained his dreams.

If you're reading this, Mark, CUDOs! You are an inspiration to many of us to keep on trying...

WNBA fans made an online petition last summer here about the quality of officials in their league too.

I believe Val Ackerman even talked about the petition during one of their broadcasts.

Here's what I think the NBA should do about the refs--

Get rid of every referee that's been around for more than a year or two. Once they are used to reffing games, some of them seem to get this big ego trip and feel like they are above every player that has been in the league fewer years than they have. The only people they respect are the Shaq's, Malone's, Jordan's, etc.. Then, hire a new staff of refs from college, the cba, or wherever...it doesn't matter, as long as they know how to make calls and don't have a big ego.

Yeah, I sent Mark Cuban a similar question (Jeff's question) earlier today and received about the same response (I had not seen this thread at the time). It's not the first time I've emailed Mark with a question or issue and I've always receive useful replies. His policy is to reply to every email he receives and I have to really appreciate that.

I would really like to see the fans help make a difference in things like this. I know not everyone will agree with how it should be fixed, but it would be great if we could make it an issue for the league without smearing the game of basketball publicly.

As per Mark's suggestion, we should all contact our team(s) and tell them how we feel. So, my question to you guys is then: how do we contact the various teams?

Does anyone have the rockets' front office number? I wouldn't mind spending a couple of bucks to make an overseas call to them.
