It was a great win but we still out of the playoffs , win the next 2 games against Utah and GS at home and that will make me a believer.

I wonder if against teams that don't play much defense and are more run and gun, if Adelman will consider using Novak a little more often for his range. We need more shooters out there.

We have hardly found ourselves when committing 20 turnovers.

But we won the game in JVG's way. Seriously, get over with it.

Actually, I like the system we have now. If Landry were to start, he would foul out before the first quarter was over. And I really think Scola is more effective when he has the 2nd string PF on him. He really loses his offensive effectiveness when he has the likes of Tim Duncan and Boozer on him. Let Chuck log his minutes at the beginning of the game, where he can kind of stop the other team's starting PF from getting any kind of rhythm to begin the game. Then let Scola come in and face their second stringer. Then, when Scola needs a rest, send Landry in there to face the starter again. Landry brings the same kind of hustle that Chuck does, but he's more of an offensive threat as well.

Yeh, I'm afraid it's one of those instances where McGrady speaks too soon again. We still need to beat the Jazz and Warriors to prove that we've found ourselves as a team.

LOL ... yeah, what was JVG thinking playing old over the hill geezers like Luther Head and Kirk Snyder over Bonzi Wells?

yea but, is there REALLY a good seeding position this year ? regardless of where you are, you're pretty much going to have to defeat a title contender to get out of the first round anyway....

i suppose for the best matchup would be denver, who will likely finish 4th, but i dont know how realistic it is for us to climb as high as 5th. we're really going to have to take advantage of the Feb. schedule.... i mean maybe even undefeated .

So JVG would have had Tracy coming off the bench just like Adelman has been doing... okay.

One of the things Adelman said he wanted to do was make T-Mac more of a finisher, and less of a facilitator. Is that what you saw in the fourth quarter?

No it won't. Putting too much into the "next" game.

Spurs are going to kick our butts. Well, lets see how they do against the young and athletic Sonics. Almost blew it at home to Seattle, Sonics will take it at their place. Should never have been behind 10 to the lowly Sonics. Lets see how they do in Portland. They wont survive a 10 point deficit to the Blazers. I guarantee you a win over the Jazz wont change any minds.

But a loss to the Jazz.....whoa, sky is falling.

Toughest game I would have thought during this 3 game swing is the road game at Portland, who is 17-3, er now 17-4.

T-Mac is a much better jumpshooter when he catches and shoots. He didnt get as much shots off of picks as he did against Seattle. He was playing point some during the 4th quarter. Thats ok, in stretches.

Whatever, you might be satisfied with two first round exits, I'm just glad we are no longer playing scared and methodically.

You and I both know that there's no way JVG allows 3 rookies to close out a game against a playoff team while Yao is on the bench and the Rockets are fighting for a playoff spot like last night.

JVG is the guy who went and got Rod Strickland from the YMCA league and a washed up Charles Oakley to come and play for the Rockets when Houston has some injury problems during his tenure here.

If JVG was here Landry and Brooks would be rotting on the end of the bench and Scola would be seeing limited mins. I'm glad he's gone.

I think what you said pretty much applies to almost any team that made it to championship or won it or got close to it. The way these writers, networks, and fans jump on and jump off the bandwagon.

    NY Giants (this year)
Indianapolis Colts (last year, their run defense would be week and they finished 3-4)
Cleveland Cavs (they weren't really good enough to be in ECF)
San Diego Chargers (this year, some people even had them in getting high draft pick after the first 4 weeks)

Tmac has found his old self, yes. The team hasn't played the way it did when Yao carried the team. The flow is gone. Alston plays well at times but he is quite hesitant when TMAC is hogging the ball. The starters lose their touch....

carry them to wins over the knicks and wolves?? the team did step up without tmac. but as u saw when the pressure turned on in the 4th, they folded. the last 4 games, we have been excellent in the 4th. i don't have to tell you who is the ONLY player to play in the ENTIRE 4th quarters in all the game -> tracy mcgrady.

this team doesn't depend on tracy as much as 2 yrs ago and that's a great thing. tracy can now be the finisher we all envisioned him to be.
