Can somebody tell me how to make programs on my macbook to be shown FULL SCREEN? Like word and PDF readers, I hate it when the screen of macbook is already so small and when i use word its only shown like 1/3 of the screen. Thanks in advance!
Up at the top of any open window, there are three buttons - red, yellow, green. Red closes the window (but not the actual software like Windows does with the "X"), yellow minimizes the software and sends it to the dock and green expands the window to fill the entire screen. Just click the green button when you want the window to fill the whole screen and click it again when you want it to return to the previous size.
Yeah I'm aware of the green button, but when i click it it "expand" the window to full screen only vertically, I want it to expand to full screen horizontally also, how i can do that?
Basically you can't. Unless there's still the option in the bottom right-hand corner to manually stretch your window and do it yourself, the window will expand by itself as much as it needs to. Conversely to your example, if you opened up a picture wider then your monitor, but shorter in height and press maximize, the window will expand to reach the left and right edges of your screen, but vertically the window will only reach the borders of your picture, not the borders of your monitor. Otherwise Preview would have to display a border around your picture (which is what Windows Photo Gallery would do).
