It has taken a while for the team to get it's identity, and there are still too many lapses when the Rockets play the weaker teams, but....it is starting. This team has found itself and roles are being clearly defined, and more importantly they are trusting each other.... Tmac is passing, and looking better and better every game....Yao is guarding the paint rebounding like mad and playing his usual great game. The Rookies...what can you say about the rookies? Scola - A very savvy player who hustles like mad Landry - The closer, the guy just finishes strong Brooks - Got to get him the ball more and let him dictate tempo And Adelman having the sack to sit Hayes, and Rafer and let an uber small lineup lead the team to victory. This is the team we all thought we would have at the beginning of the year, maybe not the same cast of players in the rotation but they are playing as a team. This team is built to win.....as a team.....if the left one don't get ya, the right one will. Bring on them Jazz...it is time to climb back in the race.... TOOT TOOT !! All aboard !! DD
I never leave the wagon baby.......just a realist at heart. And I have been saying for a LONG time now that once Tmac came back the team would build upon what chemistry they got when he was out. Just as Rhester.......I have been saying all year this team is going to explode......here it comes baby !!! By the way, so much for the defense suffering without Hayes or too many rookies playing...29 points in the 2nd half against Portland...wow..... DD
Ah that is pure hogwash.....don't bring those negative waves into this celebration of excellence thread. There are no such things as jinxes in sports...this team is built to win as a team this year. Team ball is so much fun to watch. DD
I concur that it is way to early to throw dirt on Chuck Hayes as the starter, but the shovels are coming off the wagon and the diggers are warming up... DD
I still want the Rockets to play less Gundy ball and have more motion. Regardless of how we play, its time to own up the Jazz. Lets sweep the floors with these fools. GG
if they win against the jazz, then we may have something. but the rockets have been too much of an up and down team to say they've turned a corner on one solid win against a good team cautiously optimistic
Honestly, what is the better lineup: Alston Head Battier Hayes Yao OR Brooks McGrady Wells Scola Landry Makes you wonder. If I could post a poll I would........
I made the teams that way because the first one is our actual starting lineup and the second one is the one coming off the bench right now and the majority of them finished the game. Which of those 2 sets do you think is better?
I made this prediction over a month ago after we lost to Detroit and everyone was talking about inkown commodities or something. You don't see me making these threads.
