Better analysis about the Rockets than we see here from alleged Rockets fans.

Pretty fair assessment even though he's a bit mis-informed concerning our rotation (i.e. that Mike James is not in it). The encouraging thing is an educated outsider sees the Rockets as no small challenge to beat. Portland needs to bring their A-game. But if we bring our A-game, I don't think it'll matter.

We would be a nasty team if we could cut that negatives list down by half.

It looks like we Houston fans are the only ones to realize that T-Mac isn't all about scoring. Someone commented on that website saying: 'much like his cousin Vince Carter, I'm not impressed by anything else he (McGrady) does (aside from scoring).'

I hope T-Mac gets 12 assists or something, most of feeds to Yao for dunks on the Portland big men.

    lol, no kidding

That was a great read. Even though he wasn't mentioned, Landry fits the mold of the perception of our team. That guy writes way better than Marc Stein. ESPN needs to sign this guy up!

I hope everyone has practised hard in shooting and FT. That's all I hope for.
As the write wrote, he can hit a ton or brick a ton. We need to hit a ton.

He seems to pretty much have the Rockets' numbers.

No solution for Yao. If I were Nate McMillen, I would stick Aldrige on Yao. Run PnR and fronting on Yao to death. I hope he is not reading it. :D

Pryzbilla does a pretty good job on Yao, from what I remember. And if McMillan decides to go small and use Aldridge on Yao, that will be a very tough matchup defensively for us.

Pryzbilla is Yao's b**** more often than not in the past. Not sure if Aldridge has the dicipline and toughness to defend and attack Yao. If Yao goes crazy, I think McMillan will try go small. And I wouldnt hesitate to take Yao out, especially if he is running out of gas.

"They don't defend the perimeter well. The backcourt defenders are almost universally weak."

lol....Portland has nice 3-point shooters....and some big guards...

our tiny guards were exposed mercilessly by Seattle last game..

I love it when I'm right. Brooks and Landry have been the difference in this game.

    Blazers Gameplan:

Play Yao tough. Try to get him in foul trouble. Double T-Mac. Get turnovers.

    Hmm, worked like a charm.

    Rockets still won by 10.

Actually, they did that part well. They contained Yao and TMac to a combined 26 points. That's a very good job on their part, and one would think that that would certainly result in a Rockets loss.

But while they focused on that, Brooks, Scola, and Landry burned 'em.

Woo hoo! With the rise of our rookies, we are friggin' DEEP!

That's what crashing and burning in the 2nd half by scoring 29 points does to a team.
