Yeah main thing is to keep going with the treatments. I just remembered that my uncle used it for a while, then stopped... big mistake. As the med student said earlier, it's the combo that works best.

Due to my thin hair I use specific shampoos and waxes/gels to get a messy look. You might want to do that if you have enough coverage left...

My friend got hair implants. He was completely bald on top (at 22) and one day showed up with hair.

Everyone made so much fun of him he doesn't hang out in big groups anymore, only with a few guys at a time.

    Don't be him.

Same here. Too much money wasted on Propecia and the nasty drops of Rogaine. I've only receded a little in the front, but when it started I totally tripped out.

Since then, I've become less vain and said "fukk it". If it gets worse I'll just shave it and regrow the goatee.

Just transplant the hair from your ass to your head. Problem solved.

I also remember giving you hell in one of these hair threads before you knew who I was, haha. :p

A friend got transplant work for the front area that was thinning, and takes propecia for the back part. It's working just fine for him. No bad side effects from the drug, and the implants look perfectly normal. Implants will cost you a lot, but that is the way to go for a real solution, from what I've heard.

Propecia worked for me. I am 40 now and still have a full head of hair although still sparce but it is more than when I started taking propecia back in 1998.

You don't need to take it everyday. You can take one every other day for a few months by then you should be able to see a difference. After about 5 months I started taking it about once a week for about 4 years.

Currently I take it about 1 every 3 weeks.

I'm sorry for bumping this old thread. I need some advice on hair loss.

I'm 25 going on 26. My hair started thinning and falling about a year and half ago. But it has gotten worst the past year or so. My hair line is preceding fast and I'm noticed that more is falling off when I shower or on my pillow.

So what are the best products or shampoos right now available out there to battle hairloss? I'm willing to go to a doctor and ask for prescription strength but that'll be my last resort kind of thing.

So I need your recommendations on effective products/shampoos to stop or slow down this inevitable process. :(

    Thank you
    :)

The dudes you're jocking on at gay bars might know a thing or two about wigs.

I always thought your username was mayzar, not mazyar. Kind of makes the "gayzar" jokes less funny.
