    ok this is just getting stupid, I need help. Procerin did not work. Biotein I have not tried long enough. I am using Nioxin shampoo but it does not seem to help.

    I have male pattern baldness ie. losing it in the front I am also thinning in the back. Please help, please post anything that works I need my hair.

    Do I need to just have the hair plug deal done or is there a pill that works? Propecia? Rogain? Help

    I've heard propecia works, but the side effects suck.

    feeling like you might pass out;

    swelling in your hands or feet;

    pain in the testicles;

    impotence, loss of interest in sex, or trouble having an orgasm;

    abnormal ejaculation;

    swelling or tenderness in your breasts;

    dizziness, weakness;

    headache;

    runny nose; or

    skin rash.

    Creative combover. It works for the Donald, and it should work for you too.

    Dude, don't do research here. Go to a hair loss forum that looks legit. A friend of mine is going through hair loss right now and has gone onto the "Big Three" treatment... he thinks it's working already (by this I mean 3-4 months later, not right away).

    The KEY is to do something while it's early. If you have lost a lot of hair then you have a problem. Then it might not work. Using just a shampoo is NOT going to help if you are losing hair. Maybe go to a doc or derm to see if you have MPB.

    Big Three:

    1) Propecia
    2) Rogaine
    3) Nizoral Shampoo

    I don't know the fine details of application, etc... but the products should tell you. Also look it up on hairloss forums. They will have more info on what you should do, when, what order, etc.

    If you want a hair transplant I hear they are quite good these days. My friend was thinking of a guy called Armani (lol) but look into that yourself as again I don't have the details. You will also need to take the Rogaine, Prop, etc anyway even if you get a transplant.

    I worry about future hairloss as well so have done some preliminary research, as early treatment is everything. Hope this helps.

    I thought it helped create man-boobs. I didn't know we already had them. ;)

    This is why I am glad I started wearing my hair really, really short several years ago. I know that if I ever experience hair loss it won't be that big of a deal. None of the men on either side of my family have experienced hair loss either, so isn't that a good sign for me?

    If money is no object, transplants are the way to go. I haven't done it (can't bring myself to spend the bread), but my brother-in-law is close to someone who has. He said the dude has had several implants to get good coverage. It sounds painful!

    Propecia supposedly works best protecting what you have. If you have enough worth protecting, use that and keep your hair short. Dunno about anything else -- that's all I tried.

    I was on it for a while, it worked well for me, and then I thought I didn't need it anymore. I was wrong. I didn't notice any side effects, and this was back when I lived with my fire-walking, belly-dancing sex fiend ex so I wouldn't worry about impotence.

    Lol, I know quite a bit about this due to my friend and I researching it for ages... I have always had quite thin hair so I went through a phase of being really paranoid about my hair, this was also when I had a lot of stress so I thought I was losing it. So far so good but who knows might need my own advice sooner than I would want. :mad:

    Main thing is to ignore most comments from people. Yes, for some hairloss will be irreversible if it's too aggressive but if you are slow as you say then there's some good hope. I looked at some before/after pics of users in some forums and the results were nothing short of amazing. You might not get all or most of it back but enough for people not to notice much if at all. If you are lucky you might get loads.

    Send me a PM if you want more info, I can also ask some question about your situation and point you to things you can read.
