...in the NBA, because a rapper has sent a shout out to him in a song. The song is Chamillionaire's Won't Let You Down (Texas all-stars remix). This track features most of the well-known rappers from Texas that are alive. Pimp C is also on the track so in his case it's released posthumously. The track is over 18 mins long and just before the 12 min mark Houston's own Mango says, "I smelled the money, knew the odor, I'ma rep H-Town I'm the newest soldier, Kid with the arch oo he polar, hustle harder than Luis Scola." You can listen to it here: http://www.zshare.net/audio/6083087f4b04c4/
Nah, you haven't made it without a fake myspace page. Dang, that's a big diss to Hayes. Mango approves of Scola over Hayes or maybe it just made the rap smoother. "I smelled the money, knew the odor, I'ma rep H-Town I'm the newest soldier, Kid who shoot the free throws gay, I'm talkin' about that Chuck Hayes."
All Scola needs to do is average 10/8 a night and his legacy in the NBA is cemented. He's getting close. Maybe next season he'll get there. Da dude is a monster and he's earned it in the NBA.
Only in Houston where you can get all the local rappers on one track. You'd never see that anywhere else. New York? Forget it. One my favorite lines that involved the Rockets would be by Jay-Z, "I'm a Franchise like a Houston Rocket, Yaoming?"
rollin down Westheimer taking care of business this is no bologna coming through in the clutch like matt maloney
Rappers will say anything to make it rhyme so you could've filled in any player you want. He is from the south so it doesn't supprise me it's a Rocket. Nothing to be excited about. Nice find though.
Kelvin Cato! Scola made it to a Best Rookies So Far list. Forgot who made up the list. They have Durant as #1, Yijian Lin as #2 or 3, and Scola..as 3 or 4. Can't remember.
