great great win.yao played so well.t-mac was ok but he'll improve after a few match.our next seven games will be crucial and will determine our season.i'll always believe,i will support my team no matter what and i'm sure that they'll make me proud.
the chron said tmac favored his left leg, which isn't good. but he wasn't limping. i guess it's expected that he's still sore and will feel some pain. he won't ever be 100%. but has he ever? so as long as tmac slowly gets his rhythm and conditioning (and stop getting injured), we'll be fine b/c the schedule REALLY lightens up to end the season. but please adelman, u cannot play hayes anymore than landry. hayes was very good under JVG, but he's subpar this year. landry is a BEAST.
Exceptions prove the rule. There are certainly going to be games here and there where a player, or even a team, plays uncharacteristically. Has everyone forgotten the Detroit game at the TC where the Rockets couldn't buy a FT? As I recall it was Bonzi Wells who finally sank one to end the streak. In other words aberrations happen. What's important to recognize is what's an aberration and what's normal. And what's normal for Yao is being dependable at the FT line, even in clutch situations. In the future when you know the other team is going to foul are you going to avoid throwing the ball to Yao, giant target that he is, because you're afraid he's going to choke at the line? Of course not, and that's what makes this "Yao's a choker" nonsense so obnoxious.
ESPN is saying T-Mac was "wincing in pain during dead balls"? Anybody actually see this or hear any report on this?
It's all mental with Tracy. He limped real bad when he hurt it the first time and came back. This time I saw him a little unsure on what type of pressure he could really put on the leg,It looked more mental than physical. He slammed home the dunk pretty forceful up high so he obviously is some what healthy. It's all in his head
that's how we won imo. teams are very familiar with how we run our offense through yao and mcgrady, and they know how to take the two of them out of the game. yes, they can take yao and mcgrady out of a game by concentrating most of their defense towards them. The problem has been, in these situations, too many times the Rockets just keep trying to force the ball to Yao or McGrady when the defense always swarms to them immediately. When this happens, the Rockets need to get Scola, Bonzi, Brooks, Battier, Head etc into the game offensively to exploit the defense which is so busy containing the stars, and make them pay. When this team learns how to use their stars efficiently, and then have the role-players step up when the defense tightens up on them.... we will be dominating offensively. We somewhat did that tonight. While we did not play great offense by any means, atleast we didn't force the ball to Yao like we did against the Sixers. The result was open shots for the role-players instead of turnovers and momentum drainage from forcing things that were never there.
people don't know how painful this injury has been to tmac; he's been extremely frustrated by this. that's why you don't judge and call him a "wuss/softie" and names like that when you don't know what he's going through. he's still feeling some pain. but he's not limping so he'll play
iN the game Yao Ming7of 10 =70% Rest of the team 25 0f 73 for 34% Not a performance that inspires thoughts of a great team!
oh, so a great team has EVERYONE play well ALL the time? u never see the bulls team depends on just jordan??? that's why he's a superstar.
I've noticed that the more shots Yao takes, the lower percentage he makes and vice versa. Probably because him only taking 10 shots is because those were all good looks resulting in 7-10. Not 14 good looks, and 10 fade-away jumpers, resulting in 10-24.
I can't agree with you more! When Duncan tried to play Yao, one to one, he missed too many goals. When Yao is on the court, the Spurs mainly chose jump shooter ,many times they penetrated inside, then had to pass the ball outside, and it's really quite amusing to see so. Yao didn't touch the ball much tonight, but he played quite efficiently, especially at the end of the second quarter. The only pity is that the coach played Yao too long. It will hurt the team and Yao in the long run.
Yes, I also noticed his wonderful dunk assisted by Alston. And I nearly shouted at that time. So to me, Mcgrady is quite healthy . or not as so serious as he described. How I wish to see the former Mcgrady, the one with great talent, with fire, with heart. Mcgrady, come back, healthy both in body and mind! Rockets can't waste another season. To make some noise in the play off, Rockets!
He got up high enough for not playing in 3 weeks especially in a game time situation like that. Normally a guy with a knee injury that hasn't played in 11 games would just lay the ball up,too slam it home and extend on the jam showed me that he isn't that far from being able to contribute with his athleticism. It's all mental man
