Hayes is overated defensifely and clearly a big liabilty offensively.
Hayes should only play at most 10 min a game.

because Adelman do not want Yao to be in foul trouble early in the game.

Today, Yao did a very nice job in defending TD.

I think it's not about his confidence. I feel that he probably think too much and can't concentrate.

After he dunked and are fouled on T.D., Yao is too excited. It's not like his nature. That's the begin of missing FT. He will be OK after some good win. On the contrary, the Spurs don't care any single games, they let Bon take the last shot. That's how they grow their role players. They did great jobs. Next time, maybe in playoff time when it really counts, bon will make the last shot. Don't understand why some fans think it is a bad decision to let Bon take the last shot.

Yao may have missed freethrows but I also saw him abusing Mr. World Champ Duncan at the end of the game throwing down dunks after snatching tough boards. I mean Shane air balled a wide open 3 and then saved our bacon with that tip. No one is perfect people!!! Yao makes a whole lot more clutch shots than he misses and dont forget he plays nearly 40 minutes a game! Ya bunch of haters.

i've never seen a fat kid fighting for cakes before. They always seem to have it on hand. In fact, if they had to work so hard just for a slice of cake, they wouldn't be fat in the first place. Think about it.

Spurs trade him to us just in order to dump 1M value of bad contract. But Scola, with only 3M/year salary, bring us things some of those 10M guys simple cannot do.

Without Yao, the team will not be in the position to win this game to start with. He also has made numerous last min FTs in previous games. Those who focus on Yao's missed FTs have really awful memory.

Scola and Landry are fun to watch. I always wonder why Chuck picked basketball for his career. It's comical to see a NBA starter who can't shoot 3 feet from the basket.

I recalled one interview long times ago that Yao mentioned, unless the opponent hit his right hand too severelly he would never miss two FTs in sequence.

No head in 4th qtr = Rockets win. The team seemed way more confident when tmac was on the court. I was amazed how clutch tmac was in this game. he did not shoot the ball but once in the 4th quarter and he just helped break the defense down.

withing the final minute, he absolutely controlled our possession when he broke the defense down and got Yao the play and the foul. I also noticed that as soon as the ref blew the whisle, tmac turned towards the houston bench and pumped his arm out with his fist and was very passionately expressing his happiness.

another thing i noticed is something that i don't really understand in the NBA...

After shane smacked the ball and Rafer grabbed it, there were only about 5 seconds on the clock! Rafer was open beyond the 3 point line, and all he had to do was run away from the defense or simply pass it to Yao, or even just toss it across the court. Seriously, he wouldn't have had the chance to miss free throws and given the Spurs the chance to win the game with another opportunity.

I am not saying that Yao played a bad game. He played well. In fact I thought that they should have gone to him more tonight. Yao needs to get as many shots as Duncan. Lately Yao's offence has been very good. His shooting percentage has gone up again.

However, I have to blame him on those missed FT's. Yao has come out and said that he needs to be the leader of this team. As the leader he simply can not play like this in the clutch. If Yao gets outrun on a loose ball, gets burned on pick n' roll defense etc. in the crunch time, I would not single him out because I understand that he has his physical limitations. However, FT shooting is Yao's strength. Missing 3 FT's in a row down the stretch has nothing to do with Yao's physical abilities. It's all about mental toughness. Had we lost this game tonight because of those missed FT's, the team's confidence would be crushed. As the leader of the team, Yao needs to make those FT's. This is no excuse. If Yao Ming strives to be more than a star but a winner, he has to get tougher mentally.

Yao missed a few FTs during the playoff against Mavs, and it might have caused the series. I think that miss was even on NBA TV commercial.

Hey!! I had to watch it on SA tv, but I disagree with everything you said except for "f". The big thing I got from the game was Yao's emotion after 2 & 1 late in the game. He pumped his arm and chest bumped Scola. That's the kind of fire we need to see more often from him.

Yao didn't do well at the last moment, in free throws, in this game.

Matter of fact I don't seems to remember he ever made any free throws in clutch moments, did he?

Guess tonight is only one of those night as usual.
