IF POSSIBLE - [I know it is not]

Would you give GW Bush another term?

I recall when Reagan left office the feeling was a wish that he could go one more term . . . do you feel that way about the Current Admin?

Could you please explain your position

Yes, I would. I think consistent leadership is key to the war on terror among other things. But I'm not sure he'd want another term. It would be cool, though, to continue to see the haters spew their garbage and know that they still have to accept he's the president and there's nothing they can do about it. Maybe another 2 years and then he voluntarily steps down, and by then we have a different, younger VP who will take over. Somebody like John Kasich maybe. :)

No. I think it is time to hand the keys to a new busdriver. Bush has disappointed me greatly at times, and I believe that he has become somewhat pot committed on the war.

I believe that McCain or Huckabee would be a nice change of pace.

how often do you hear the republican nominees bring up bush?

never. here is a twice "elected" president and nobody from his own party will even mention him as they are campaigning. that should tell you right there how popular he is w/in the republican party.

even though most of them are pushing the same agenda as bush, they cant get far enough away from him. everyone wants to bring up reagan as much as possible, but you wont find any of these people mentioning bush b/c they know its political suicide to attach themselves to that fake texan, torture authorizing, gay male hooker loving liar.

Reagan has the mystique of time. He may look better to them through the lens of looking back. In time, Some future candidates may speak of Bush in such terms.

I guess a part of me is. . . . Where would Bush stand among the competition that is out there now?

Could he win against Mitt, McCain, Huckabee or Rudy?
Do people think enough of him to give him one more term?

What a worthless post. The question was posed to Republicans, of which you are not one. Your attempt to be funny in this thread fell flat and was dumb.

I voted for George Bush twice and am pleased with the work he has done. My taxes are lower, the economy recovered nicely after 9/11 (we'll get through this period we're in right now without too much pain), and we've seen the work in Iraq and Afghanistan pay off not only in the form of ZERO terrorist attacks on American soil after we started the WOT, but also in building long-term US allies in those two countries going forward.

That said, change is good for America and in order to improve relations with some countries (specifically the Euros, although Merkel and Sarkozy (sp?) love Bush), a new person would be good.

Depends on what the other options are. Is bush an ideal president? No, he is not. Would I prefer giving him another term to any of the Dem candidates? You bet I would. I would prefer Thompson or McCain to Bush, and myself to any of them.

I think it has more to do with his general popularity. All the election stuff is a facade.

as far as gay males and hookers, to each their own. i do think that we should keep that stuff out of the white house though.

what i have a problem with is hypocrisy and i find bushs policy towards homosexuals to be extremely hypocritical in light of the company he keeps.

but i guess its par for the course w/ the bush supporters - gannon, foley, craig, haggert, giuliani, ect.

    No.

And I think the end of Reagan's last term was a struggle.

Though I agree with Obama that his overall legacy was great.
