We really get caught up in who we want for President. Perhaps as interesting a question is who you least want. I've listed the candidates that seem to be in the running (adding Rudy because his "Florida plan" has a chance of working).
Close race with all the Republicans but from worst to least scary: Rudy Huckabee Romney McCain Clinton Edwards Obama
bwaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! Sorry weslinder JulieAnnie would be my pick since he is basically Bush on steroids.
Personally, McCain. He is the single candidate with the longest established record of screw-ups. He is the most aggressive hawk among the candidates, and he has shown himself to be the biggest enemy of free speech in Washington. His biggest accomplishment to date is Campaign Finance Reform, in which he did his dead-level best to make sure that no incumbent ever lost. He is a man with a dangerous perspective for international relations, and is too old to change his mind on it. I'm thankful for his service, and he was a war hero. That does not make him fit to run the country.
I don't disagree, and I considered leaving him out of the poll, given his showing so far. But he's still not quite out of it in the national polls, so I had to leave him in.
i wish paul would have been included. since he is easily winning the republican primary poll id like to see how much dislike there is for him out there. i voted for tranny ghoul-iani, but clinton is a very close 2nd. i believe that those two pose the greatest threat to this country, but he's just a tad more scummy than she is. and the police state would creep in alot quicker under trannys watch. i would never ever, ever vote for either and if one of them gets the nomination i will automatically be supporting their opponent.
Easily Kucinich but he wasn't one of the options. Out of the options given I would probably say Huckabee. He's a likeable guy but I don't like the idea at all of ammending the Constitution to bring it in line with his religious views. On the other side Edwards is my least favorite and if he is the Dem. nominee I'm going to have to think long and hard about voting for him.
In order: Huckabee Romney McCain Giuliani Clinton I'd be very happy with Obama or Edwards. And I'd be ecstatic if Huck or Romney was the GOP nominee. Giuliani has no more place in this poll than Thompson, Paul or Hunter. None of them has a real shot at the nomination. (Poor basso.)
Their all puppets as far as I'm concerned, but if Hillary wins I'll throw up. I just can't take 4 years of having to see her rodent face and hear her drawn out lies on tv every day.
Starting with the least: Clinton, Huckabee & Edwards all about the same Rudy . . . Still not sure about Romney, McCain & Obama
TOTAL VOTES: 2597 Barack Obama 1536 59.1% Hillary Clinton 832 32.0% John Edwards 229 8.8% TOTAL VOTES: 4534 Fred Thompson 2923 64.5% Mitt Romney 623 13.7% Rudy Giuliani 494 10.9% John McCain 352 7.8% Ron Paul 106 2.3% Mike Huckabee 36 0.8% http://pajamasmedia.com/strawpoll2008/results.php?precinctid=d9f7e2876c046838b49d477549b9e6d5c
I pretty much agree, Kucinich would be my least desirable of them all...Obama slightly edges Edwards on appeal...so I'd say Edwards on the Dem. nominee side mentioned as least wanted.... Rep. nominee,... least desirable is probably a tie between Giuliani and Huckabee...
Clinton and Obama are about equal on this. Hillary is much more annoying, but Obama might be even more dangerous to America.
I don't want any of them to be president, at all. I refuse to choose the 'lesser of two evils' this time around - I will be writing 'none' in the appropriate box.
Giuliani is moderate as far as Republicans go but he is hard to like on a personal basis. He has a well-documented tendency to be combative and overbearing, and his equally well-documented tendency to surround himself with moronic yes men (if you have ever met Anthony Carbonetti, you would know what I mean) is potentially disastrous. The other day I was drinking beer in an old-school irish joint and chatting with the guy next to me, a former NYC firefighter turned NYC fireman's union delegate. Using him as a gauge, you cannot fathom the depth of how much NYC firefighters resent Rudy Giuliani - and they hated him BEFORE 9-11 and the radios and all the other gaffes. The guy literally could not talk about it and had to end the conversation because he said ti made him too pissed off.
This sounds like the Mike & Mike show. PS -- I least want Thompson, but he probably doesn't count now.
