    Outgoing:
    T-Mac and Mike James

    Incoming:
    Redd, Yi and Villanueva

The salaries match and the trade seems ideal for both sides looking for a major shakeup without having to rebuild. What do yall think?

I don't want to get naked, or see you bare...

but bearing with you... there is no way they trade Yi. It's like asking if Houston wants to trade Yao.

They are already seeing the benefits of a Chinese audience... they aren't trading their cash cow any more than we are trading ours.

No. We've already been through this scenario, and the Rockets aren't necessarily in rebuilding mode. We're a game over .500, with a little over half a season left. It's not time to dismantle the Yao/Tracy duo until when and if they make the postseason. The value on the other side for any Tracy trade will never be equal.

The Bucks will not give up Yi, either.

So tell me again why a team would trade an all-star, hot prospect and decent prospect for a player with a history of injuries and a worthless player.

well, mainly because the "injury plagued player" is seen to many a Top5 Premier player when healthy...that by itself can attract any buyers. And as for Mike James, we might be underestimating his value..there are many teams out there who would love to have an instant offense type guard. His only downfall here is his lack of creating shots, which is why he was brought here to do..and not jack up everythiing thing he sees, even when the clock isnt running.

Milwaukee would laugh Morey off the phone if he proposed that.

Seriously. I would do it in a hearbeat, but the Bucks would be laughing their asses off at that deal.

Let's do it today before the Bucks think about it. That would be robbery, I am all for it. Greatest trade in Rockets history. We would be an instant contender.

I proposed a similar (although not nearly as lopsided) Bucks / Rockets trade in the random trade thread over the weekend.

Tracy McGrady, Mike James <-----> Michael Redd, Bobby Simmons

I think both teams at least take a look at this one...

More so than trading Yi. Though I don't think you get enough for Tmac in that trade (though I don't know if you "can" get enough for Tmac). Do the numbers match?

    Numbers match. It's roughly TMac (18) + James (5) = Redd (14) + Simmons (9)

Redd has 1 extra year on his contract and James only makes 2/3 of what Simmons makes (both w/ 2 years remaining), making it an attractive trade to Milwaukee financially and because they get an elite revenue generating superstar in the deal.

The Rockets get Redd who is a deadly shooter who I think would be much like Peja in Adelman's system, the year he was in the MVP discussion. Simmons is a versatile swingman with a great motor who is returning after missing a season to injury, but has looked good lately.

If "it" is not going to happen with McGrady on the team, and the Rockets can't get true equal value for him, I doubt there are many better deals out there than this one.

No, with the Bucks, I think we give up Novak for Redd, Yi, and CV. I love these trade threads.

Yeah, the stupid ones thata want to end up like us or Orlando.

Milwaukee would have to be the dumbest team in the world to "yes" this trade. They would get a soft injury prone All-star who has never won anything, and a selfish point guard, while giving up an All-star, and 2 good young players.

Sounds like a plan - To set their franchise back half a decade.

They want him, until they have him. One look at his trade history tells he wears out his welcome quickly. Milwaukee has tons of shoot-first guards, they don't need another.

Milwaukee would be hard pressed to do that trade if it was just for yi and charliev. Adding redd makes it a joke.

Umm no way in hell would the Bucks do that trade, maybe t-mac and bonzi for redd, villanueva, and a 1st lottery protected but that's it. Didn't they trade us Mike James back in '05 anyways???

Why would u want a 1 dimensional player in redd that is terrible defensively and can't creat a shot. Did I mention he's a max player who team has suxed since he's been there. Why could this be in the other trade threads?

Hi guys! New to the forum and this is my first post. I have been lurking around just reading several post. One thing that made me join this forum was because all this trade threads about T-Mac for the past few weeks and to be honest with you guys, it's ridiculous. First of all, you can not take out your one and only playmaker out there on the court. Second, do you think players like Michael Redd, Ron Artest, Mike Bibby, Jason Kidd or 2 starters from another team are going to make the Rockets better???? No they are not. You will not get equal value for T-Mac; example Kobe and the Lakers. Look at the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Garnett. The only players who can come to Houston and make a difference are players such as Kobe, KG, DWade, Tim Duncan, LeBron James, etc.... you get the idea. Yes I agree, it's frustrating to see the Rockets where they are at now with all the talent they have on this team. Trading T-Mac is not the answer, trading Yao Ming is not the answer. Look at the other 3 starters on this team Chuck Hayes, Rafer Alston, and Shane Battier. Now look at the bench you can have Wells starting, Scola, and AB. Look at the bench now and you still have a good bench. I believe they should mix up the lineups a bit or trade some of the other players and try to get a Derek Fisher type of player. This team has enough talent to make the playoffs and get atleast to the second round. But to make threads about trading T-Mac every half hour is just absurd. Some of this post just make me  By the way great forum...
