"With his random rotation changes, head coach Rick Adelman appears clueless and every combination he tries gets to the fourth quarter and looks hapless."

Couldn't agree more. Adelman's rotations are confusing the hell out of me.

The way things are going, I wouldnt be surprised to see him give Kirk Snyder 30 minutes next game.

Don´t panic. The sixers are playing their hearts out.
The Spurs were down with 4 minutes to go in the 4th qtr.
Ginobili hit 4 three pointers to win the game. But it wasn´t easy.

It is about time that Coach A understands that Rafer is only good enough to be a back up Point Guard, he is not a Playmaker and has great difficulty passing into our big man
Luther Head is a back up role player who is a spot up shooter, poor passer:p

I'll third it! I am sorry, but the guy has had almost 40 games to figure out a rotation, and still it's haphazard and frustrating to watch.

Edit: okay with the post above mine saying the same thing.. I'm 4th-ing the sentiment! (not third)

I'll "fifth" it. Adelman has obviously had great success in the league, but since coming to the Rockets, his performance has been underwhelming. He "looks" confused, detached, distracted, and, at times, literally clueless. I don't know if he really is this "out of it," but he at least appears to be. His rotation and substitution patterns make no sense to me, but then again, his starting lineup doesn't either. His "laid-back" demeanor is a detriment with this group of semi-talented underachievers. Clearly, JVG, who I didn't like, should get last year's coach of the year. He squeezed alot out of a little.

This season reminds me of TMac's first in Houston when the Rockets couldn't get anything going and were at .500 or worse for a good part of the year until Bob Sura came back. He brought toughness to the team that they were missing and became their emotional leader and we ended up in the playoffs. We don't have anyone like that anymore on this team.

Isn't this 4th qtr collapse symptomatic to this team. I sorta remember JVG saying that we had trouble finishing games and we had all sorts of problems closing out our games in the 4th qtr under JVG. We really do need T-Mac to come back.

Maybe I am still angry over last nights game but I am very down on the players on this team and the coach who is loyal to them to a fault. It doesn't take a genius to know that when Yao is fronted you either penetrate and attack the rim or you swing the ball to the weakside quickly. Yet our guards can't do this fundamental aspect of basketball much less box out their man for a rebound. Because good teams take away your first and second option on offense, if we continue with the roster we have, I'm not feeling too optomistic about making the playoffs. When it comes to winning time, we have too many offensively challenged, mistake prone, and headless chickens surrounding Tracy and Yao.

Teams who lack a killer instinct in the 4th quarter are mentally soft teams.....the rockets inability to execute in the 4th quarter has been a problem for some time now.....this roster needs to be totally revamped, because the attitude of this team is weak.....and Tmac coming back isn't going to change that seeing as he's part of the problem.

I don't think we are out of the playoffs yet but I am happy to see some of our media heaping some well-deserved shame on this team that is currently playing with no heart.

Unfortunately, even though we can use McGrady back he will not bring any more heart to the team nor will he inspire it.

Hopefully he will give us some wins and confidence though.

Anybody for McGrady/James for Gasol/Miller? --It works.

no loss is unimportant especially losing to a eastern conference team that is clearly inferior to this team at home. a team coming in losing 7 straight. and the manner which they lost the game it made me sick to my stomach. this team is trying to gain ground in the playoff race they cannot lose to teams like the sixers at home. we're now 1-2 on our home stand and very well can go 2-3 or 1-4 and who would have predicated that?

maybe you dont remember but we missed the playoffs yao rookie year by one "unimportant L" every loss counts thats why they keep standings. its always one step forward two steps backwards with this team and I have a bad feeling its not going to get any better when tracy comes back.

god i actually wished last night that we had the injury depleted team from a few years ago at least JVG got all those guys to try really hard despite the obvious dearth in talent.

it wasnt talent or skill that lost us the game last night it was effort and desire, if this team doesnt want to win a game at home against the sixers they have no business of wanting to be successful in the playoffs.

Good point!! Since we don't have that "captain to right the ship", 98% of the coaches in the NBA would look lost and/or confused IMHO. The only difference between the Rockets and Spurs is Manu, Micheal & Tony. Out of those 3, at least 1 will hit clutch shots at crunch time. Manu & Micheal will hit 3;s & Tony will drain the deuce. We brought in players who were supposed to do just that & they can't do it on a consistant basis.

Until we get someone who can hit the outside shot(deuse or trey) in crunch time, teams will simply front & double team Yao so he has to pass off or has trouble hitting his shot. That's a fact of our life as Rockets fans.

The collapse have nothing to do with heart just execution, every time T-Mac is out with have tons of T.O.

Teams at the end of games play a lot what they call a two mans game. T-Mac is the only one that can get Yao the ball in the Pick and Roll every time, that play alone is unstoppable. When you add a 6-8 to the back court instead of all the midgets we have it will be easy to get an entry pass.

Take CP3, Nash or Williams Davis and see how their teams do closing games, we just saw every time CP3 when to the bench, NO play like crap, same MO with Nash, GS is force to play Baron 39 minutes every game because if not they suck.

It call execution and Talent not Heart.

Adelman's loyalty is hurting the team,He plays bonzi too much at times,He leaves rafer in when he should be on the bench especially in the 4th quarter. He doesn't trust hayes, We are hurting defensively in the 4th more than offense. I think if you play hayes a little more maybe sit yao we win these games. We are missing toughenss and defense in these 4th quarters. We can't get any stops and you add rafer and heads madness to teh mix you have a mess.

Play hayes more,Trust brooks and I think we close these games out. Brooks gives us a guy who can get into the paint at will,We need this when they double and triple yao.
