He knows how to react,He will need to un-due his loyalty to certain players and start to put in the right combinations to close out these games. Rafer isn't that guy and like somebody esle said he's fools gold. Tonight he yelled at aaron for shooting a three when they were denying Yao and no other passing lanes were open.We were up by 9 points and soon after they take aaron out and the lead shrinks. He goes to the hole get's fouled and Yao goes over to give him high five and he barley ackowledges Yao's energy. He acted the same way against the hornets pouting the whole game for no apparent reason.

Seems like rafer can't handle the fact that he is a lower tier guard in this league. He was blaming his teammates every time chris paul scored and he was doing the same thing tonight with miller. Rafer has some serious issues menatlly and it doesn't seem like he can handle competition. He was on some personal stuff tonight within his own team and against his opponent. I heard soem people at the beginning of the season say jeff babied rafer because he has some type of pschological issue.

The dude is way out and he's a hater and he has a super pessimistic attitude that tonight and over the weekend rubbed the team the wrong way. I mean he created a negtaive scenario in the off season where we couldn't trade him with all the subconscious arrest. I think rick needs to man up and sit rafer and head if they are not performing, esepcially in the 4 th quater because this loyalty baby stuff aint working with rafer and head.

Frankly that's the lineup I've been hoping for ever since Brooks showed his potential. Adelman is supposedly pretty old fashioned though in that he doesn't believe in giving a rookie a break and there's two of them in that line up.

Unfortunate, because I suspect that Brooks and Scola would soar with increased playing time.

Blinebury probably echoes the sentiments of many Rockets fans:

The day the music died: Sixers 111, Rockets 107.
    Bye, bye Miss American Pie.

Turn out the lights, the party's over.

The NBA draft lottery will be held on May 20.

No matter how you say it, this was the game that made it safe to plan a spring vacation.

The Rockets are going nowhere at warp speed.

    ...

Now Tracy McGrady comes back from his knee injury, maybe Saturday night against the Spurs, maybe the following game. But it hardly matters now.

You can give up on this season. The Rockets have.

They would soar and it's time to shake some things because rafer is holding back real progress,Rafer is just trying to hold on to his job, he doesn't have the mind state to go further than to keep his job.

Rafer has issues buddy, You just his fan, but tonight and against the hornets he showed his true colors and he can't handle pressure. He has two wars going on at the same time. He may smile and act blah blah blah but in reality he's trying to keep his starting job and that is the most important thing to him is to survive and keep being a starter. Winning and knowing how to win are second.

It's an unfortunate loss, but not a nail in the coffin yet.

Pretty much we have to win Saturday to get things back on track. But tonght wasn't a game we really could afford to lose.

Certainly makes the playoffs look a bit further out of reach.

Your sig reads 20-3 against the weak. I think it'll look more like 14-9 against the weak because we are one of the weak!

Seriously, I had nothing to say about Rafer Alston since he made a stupid pratfal when we had 5pts lead in the 7th game of the playoffs last season....

    Did anyone remember that?

Sure, every one remembers! Whenever rocket has a lead in clutch time, he is always the first to move stupidly and then change the direction of the game.

that's kinda how i am feeling right now.

what the heck was adelman thinking? has he ever watched any game tapes from jvg era? rafer AND head together in 4th UNDER ANY SITUATION just spells disaster for us 9 out of 10 times! i don't care about brook's height, if he can ball with nate robinson, he can ball with green.

head was 6-12 in the first half and went 0-8 in the second. when he's not shooting well (it was so obvious he had started to cool down), what is he useful at?

i can swallow a tough loss to the hornets. but a loss to the 76ers? again? in such an ugly fashion? at such a crucial time of the season? man, i don't how many of the rockets will lose sleep tonight. i know i am going to...

but wtf do i still care?

Yup, Rafer has perfected that part of his game. Tonight, we saw it from both Rafer and Head.

could be the case. maybe not so much of the loss to the hornets, but the loss tonight could definitely come back and haunt us. this team needs some changes, just like the moves jvg and cd made in mcgrady's first year here (trades for barry and wesley) to save the season. and we will still need some luck to tur it around. no guarantees. maybe it's time to pack luther and/or rafer for a better pg...

It is inexcusable for Adelman not using Francis at the begining this season. Whatever the style SF plays, three all-stars in a starting lineup would be a nightmare for most teams. By now, all necessary chemistry would have been accumulated. He was so stupid to abandon all the new players and followed VG's lineup.
