Artest and Bibby would work for me.Bibby ran that team for Rick and comes off the books soon.....and Artest is still underrated. He's a time bomb but I want him here. And once again Rick has a handled him well. Though I believe it would take more to get Williams,we should go after him.I liked him going into the draft but we had no shot. That's OK though as we have our own guy that is a steal of a first round pick.
Anything is possible. If you have a team performing like this I guarantee they will not make 50 W. Damn, we used to make 60 win predictions at the beggining of the season...

I think you put Rose into our lineup instead of Alston and you have yourself a ball club next year. Rose is that good. D Wade skills and penetration plus Kidd-like vision. A little too unselfish right now but he will be a force in this league... I'm tired of being jealous of the Kidd's, Parker's, Bibby's, Paul's, Williams', Nash's, Iverson's, Wade's, and every other great pg or amazing combo guard. We should not have to deal with this crap. Rose Alston Tmac Head Battier Well Hayes Scola Yao Landry -V
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw7KijRfU-c&feature=related I think would be more suitable. Didn't embed the video cause it aint for the kids.
I would say 7-8th by the end. The tough part of the schedules is over, but #10 is #10. We still have a long way to get back in the playoff picture. I'm not sure how the team will perform after T-mac rejoins, hopefully the easy schedules will help him to integrate back in the team. It seems that Adelman is still uncertain about what to do during crucial times in some game. If he does not figure it out soon, I would not be surprised if the Rockets fail to get in the playoffs.
i think our bench is too deep. we have the deepest bench in the league, but it's not working, especially when our starters our closing games. I always liked how we had so much offense off the bench, but i've come to realize that too much of our talent is on the bench. This is an OFFENSIVE system, no? Why the hell are 3 out of our 5 starters not doing jack squat offensively? starters BROOKS - make that mother happen!!!!!!!!!!!! Tracy Battier Scola Yao bench Alston/Head (do we need control or offense) Bonzi/Francis(?) (do we need offense or (?)) Landry/Hayes (do we need offense or defense) deke (do we need guard shaq/duncon)
That's why no one takes predictions like that seriously. 50 wins is still within reach, but only if this game was an aberation and it appears that's the case. All is not lost just yet, so don't get too bent out of shape!
Okay after yesterday meltdown, I would now change my expectations to lotterry bound. This team is too inconsistent too go on the winning streaks necessary to obtain a playoff spot. It woul take a monumental collapse by the 9 teams ahead of us to reach the playoffs.
it would be better if we didn't make the playoffs....at this point I wouldn't mind seeing the team tanking....no point in going to the post season to lose in the 1st round against most likely S.A or Phoenix.
I would expect at best 7th-8th at this point, no way that many teams ahead of us choke so badly we leap frog all of them. Sadly, lottery bound is a very real option for us. And not even a good lottery pick, but middle of the pack. Not good enough to get us a reliable point guard. At this point I hope for playoffs and getting hot at the right time (sort of like the NY Giants did) to make some noise. Because if we get to the lottery we'll be pickign 13-18th. Ant that just sucks, plus the embarrasment. Both Yao Ming and T-Mac in the team yet still lottery bound? I couldn't bear it.
Let's see...: 1.) Can't beat any good teams (except Detroit once by stroke of luck and Phoenix once (only game where we obviously overachieved)) 2.) Can't win home games consistently against bad or good teams 3.) Can't keep Tmac healthy 4.) Can't play well down the stretch in the 4th 5.) Can't get the ball to Yao in key crunch-time situations What can we do? We can go to the lottery (unless a miracle happens).
by "sneaking" in I'm guessing you mean 7th or 8th seed, which means we'd play S.A. or Phoenix in the first round......so you honestly think this team could beat one of those teams in a 7 game series????? I called it a few weeks back when I said this team is done. There needs to be MAJOR changes if the rockets ever want to be successful again..............I can't wait until the season is over with to see what moves Morey makes...right now imo I don't think anyone should be untouchable.
i still believe this team can make it to the post season - only based on the disbelief that it can't. on the edge of giving up the season...
lol, looking at that picture just made me realize why I still throw D. Rob in the category of guys who retired without a ring.
