This team needs a bigger penetrator (SG) and a bigger PF/C

Shelden Williams is too slow for our purposes, but Josh Childress has more all around game than Battier. Battier gives them a veteran defensive presence, and Luther provides them with outside shooting. All in all, I'd say this works for both teams.

    1 - Battier for Wilcox.

2 - Mike James & Head and Pick (1st or 2nd, which ever gets the deal done) for Maggette

Yes, I know pass down whatever it is i'm smoking! :D

We could always lose the rest of our games and go lottery for a shot at Mayo.

T-Mac is still alive you know...just about the biggest SG you will find in this league.

And we have Scola who plays well enough at PF, West was just gettin lucky with his shots early on. He won't shoot like that every time he plays us.

This was a complete blunder franchise wise. If I recall, JVG also played Deke against the Denver scrubs to get the win that screwed us. I think of that game, too.

I totally agree with you. If tmac fail to fit in the system after his return, then I definitely see Les trading him away in the off-season time. Not now though, because his value is in historic low. If that happerns, I really really hope Morey can somehow manage to exchange him with Koby. Not just because the guy's skill, but also his determination, his eager to win will make it a perfect duo with Yao. They have very similar work ethic.

The problem is that T-Mac dominates the ball and stagnates the offense. IMHO we'd be better off with a player like Michael Redd or Ray Allen than McGrady. Those other two guys get their shots off quick and don't need the ball for 15 second of the shot clock to be effective.

It's not like I dont know Head gets good vertical. But if you pay attention to how Head finishes his layups, you know Head seldom elevates himself enough, not to mention Head is not ready to take any contact.

What ever happened to Kirk Synder, at one point wasn't he a big part of Jeff Vangundy's rotation last year. After he broke his hand it seems like Vangundy put him the doghouse.Kirk has size and I always thought he was one of the most athletic guards on the roster.

he broke his wrist. When he came back, he was "healthy" but he had no touch what so ever. By the time he started to come around, it was playoff time and the rockets had a set rotation. But you are right, he was getting time early in that season. It would have been a great opportunity for him to get a lot of p.t. had ne never broke that wrist

Penetration is a way to disturb the defence line. Meanwhile, other teammates must to use screens and cuts to free themselves.

While the penetrater should cause enough threat to the basket, more importantly, he should protect the ball and make a right decision. So that, A PG who can penetrate is often more valuable.

Yeah, I actually agree with you. That was the only time I've ever seen him attack the rim that relentlessly. Which made it all the more spectacular.

I think he has been driving more than he used to under JVG, but he should still do it more and finish w/ authority.

McCants is more versatile than Head. He's a true combo guard can penetrate and dish a little. Hell, he's been better than Foye so far, even if Foye hasn't had a chance to show us whether he improved this year. But the part where your wrong is the "or bigger" part. Yeah, McCant's only an inch taller, but he out-weighs Head by 35 pounds. It's like saying that Shaq is scarcely bigger than Darko.
