But a lot of that play was just our guards getting burnt. That was a very very weak pick/screen.

But yeah, it would have been nice to put Scola/Hayes in at that point. I don't think that Adleman had much of a chance as Yao had to shoot free throws.

Yao was shooting free throws. So, he could not be substituted.

RA should find ways to give Yao some rest, fatigue does affect his shot. When he misses last game FTs, you know he's affected by fatigue.

Honestly, who really thought we were going to win? I'm not undermining the Rockets progress or even taking a jab at their play, it's just that we are not there yet. Big emphasis on yet. This was a good loss, and a good game. This shows us, we need Tmac in some form, maybe not what he was, but obviously we need him some way. Yao was amazing, and AB looked really really good. Above all, good progress.

Should cut Alston and Head's minutes and give to Brooks. Those two, one can't shoot, one makes bad decisions.

You could make a 4-hour NBA refs blooper movie with just Yao in it.

Yao was really trying to play 1 on 5.

Now he must be somewhere practicing his 3's.

Do u think we would have hustled and played as hard if tmac was playing?? and would have been in the same position to win?... the rockets have been hustling and playing harder without him...the defense was real good today and thats what kept us in the game... i dunno..but i think even if we had tmac it would not have made a difference

He actually took 14 shots and missed 10. The box score says he was 4-13, but that last shot with 7 seconds left that was blocked -- for some reason they credited that shot attempt to Luther Head. No idea if they'll fix it or not.

Rafer's been great the last 5-10 ... tonight was a harsh reminder.

Yeah, and those no-call fouls hurt us a lot!

It's not like last time against Dever. However, we are supposed to beat Hornets....

    Sigh.. :(

:( Such a heartbreaker...despite mediocore guard play, it was winnable down until that last shot Yao took...Yao really kept us in the game, its too bad he couldn't make that last hook shot. Scola was also very hesitant to take his jumpers and make them pay for doubling Yao, but I don't blame him for the loss.

    I'm depressed now

No way to watch the game live. Based on the stats, I would blame on our starters other than Yao:
    Rafer 4-13
    Head 4-11
    Hayes 1-2
    Shane 1-4

There is no way a team can win when their starters perform like that.

I very rarely put anything on the refs, but those back to back bad no calls were just horrible. Top it off with the ticky tack tap for the and 1 and it was just preposterous. Rockets played hard getting back into the game and taking the lead again, but they should have been padding the lead.

Rockets played hard this game, and while the ball movement didnt look as good as it did other times, part of that was the ball wasnt going in. Those swing passes around the horn look alot better when Battier hits from the corner.

Get outta here, I consider T-Mac haters not being true Rockets fans.

Tracy definatly would have helped the team in Crunchtime, it's a tough loss but there's nothing to worry about. It was still a very important game, and the Rockets had it, but couldn't finish. There is some improvement to make, hopefully T-Mac will come back next Saturday.
