What is more important Starting or Minutes?
I remember last year with the argument about
Mobely and Shanderson . . . Minutes was more important

    when did it change?

Did anyone else notice that as soon as Kenny left the game in the first half we came from behind to take a commanding lead. And then in the fourth we put Kenny on O'Neal, (who had been guarded very well by Eddie) and he gives up like ten straight points.

I agree with DaDakota, start Eddie, trade Kenny

Count me in on the "I agree" department. One thing I notice is that the black hole starts when kenny or moochie is in the game.

unbelievable myth building. O'Neil only scored 10 points on buckets in the 4th Q (one extra foul shot at the very end), and Griffin guarded him for all but the last 2 buckets.

anyone...anyone??? anyone see Griffin give up two slam dunks to O'Neil. sheesh....I can't believe this, sometimes. I think Griffin should start somewhere and is a stud in the making, but this lack of respect to Kenny is just SOOOO wrong! Cato is the one that should be benched and is the fragile whiner that Rudy is trying to protect...not Kenny.

    crossover,

so is this my "whittling down" other people's arguments without offering my own?

Why didn't you use the poll option?

    HP,
My biggest problem with Kenny is the fact that when he is on the floor with Steve and Cat it usually means one or two passes at the most and then the blinders go on and the rest of the team is forgotten. When Steve, Cat, Mooche and Kenny are all in the game at the same time it seems like one pass is made and then everyone else backs off and lets who ever has the ball creat and shoot. Thats what I saw last night in the fourth quarter.

Hell at least 0 for 10 Walt passes the ball. I think our offense would have been much smoother with Walt on the floor at the 3 with Eddie at the 4 and either Willis or Cato at the 5 because there would have been a lot more passing.

I agree with most of what you say about Kenny I just don't think he should start with Steve and Cat because his style of offense takes passing out of the offense. I really thought the Rockets were at their best in the second quarter when Steve was passing the rock around to everyone and everyone was getting involved. I know it started when the Indiana subs were in the game but it continued when the starters came back in. In the second half the team started running ISOs after Cato and Steve sat down early in the 3rd quarter with Technicals. When Steve re-entered the game in the 4th they continued to run the ISO's and the offense continued to be stagnant.

My biggest problem with Kenny has never been his defense but it is his offense. I can't say to many negitives about the defense as a whole since Indiana only scored 81 points.

The holding the ball on the offensive end and then being forced into taking a last second shot or a bad pass is may biggest gripe.

Didnt get to watch the game so cant commeent on 4th quarteer defense. However, I do see EG maaking some rookie mistakes oout there, and he does get pushed around. However, KT is not a defensive stud (although he does what he can). EG's help deefense is goodd enough to overlook soome of his rookie problems.

Anywaay, seems to me DaDakota hit it riight on the head.

In essencee, despite KT's solid statistical pllay at times, I dont see it helping the team win, or even improve, too often. I jusst cant see a successful offense run with KT, Mobley and Moochie on the floorr at the same time. It almost always stagnates. When one of them decides to not hold thhe ball forever (ala thee Warriors game where Moochie racked up the assists), then it is okay. In my opinion, KT is the odd man of the 3. However, if he is willing to takke a bench roole in the future (he definitely wont likee that) we myswell keep him.

So, why not start EG to help the team win, and allow him to further deveelope as a starter.

On the other hand, for showcasing purposes, I wouldnt mind startingg KT to get good trade value ( assuming he will not be pleassed with being a bench player). Also, we have a horrid record as it is and if it is unlikely that we will maake the playoffs, wwe myswell pull a Spurs and get a good centerr in the draft.

I can solve this one in four easy steps.

    1. Sedate Kenny. Sedate Cato.
    2. Surgically remove Kenny's brain. Surgically remove Cato's brain.
    3. Surgically implant Kenny's brain in Cato's head. Surgically implant Cato's brain in Kenny's head.
    4. Trade Kenny. Start Cato.
